I think most moss would work as long as it grows good in your tank conditions, I think flame moss would be another good candidate. Thanks 😁👍

Think this is what it will be, just need the stem plants to start being happy and atart growing lol. I never really gravel vac any of my tanks, so no plan to gravel vac. The moss is in there pretty good, but not hard to pull up. When I planted it it was just a bunch of little bits of moss pushed into substrate. So it has all those little 100+ anchor points. Eventually all those little anchor points will rot away after being buried and blacked out from no light getting to bottom, but by then you'll already have a huge moss mat/carpet that will stay where its on on its own pretty much.

Thanks man. Yeah this tank has really good light for the moss. I have 3 40w 6500k shoplights on this 75, but still pretty low light when taking planted tanks with co2 and all that into consideration. It will grow just fine and plenty fast in much lower light, but it does really shrine the better light it gets.

I don’t think I’ll be doing co2, so hopefully my new light will help it quite a bit…it’s not dying I don’t think it seems to still be growing and expanding horizontally of all things. I hope it ain’t laying down to die💀

@Pelham’s Aquatics I'm sure its fine, if its expanding out then its doing good. When it doesn't get enough light it gets real leggy and reaches for light and grows vertically. If its spreading its got quite a bit of light. Better light makes its grow thicker and greener, and this is the most light I've ever had it under.

Yeah not a real popular one. Most mosses I have tried struggle, but this one takes off with no effort on part, seriously all I gotta do.is keep it in water lol.

Wall would be cool, but a lot harder to get to grow I reckon. This pilo moss I've had grow up out of the tank and even flower when its right under the light. Also different mosses prefer much different growing conditions.

@@MarkShellyAquatics I got a massive load of java moss to make it. Fingers crossed I guess. I'll give it another month then just going to build around the mesh and hope it does better submerged lol
