Easy Marlin Model XT 17 XT 22 Improved Trigger Adjustment Trigger Job 

I have the xt 22 mag, with the tapered barrel. And mine with the screw backed out and then screwed back in until it touches with another 1/8 turn gives me 1 3/4 lbs. I like the clean brake and I also like that there is very little over travel. (Very minimal) I'm not a fan of the plastic stock. The forearm needed to be sanded to clear the sides of the barrel, and then I made some shims to float the barrel fully. With CCI Maxi-Mag ammo, it's constantly under 1/2 inch at 50 yards when I do my part. All said I'm impressed that a rifle that costs me less than $200.00 is capable of performing so well. Mine was made in Mayfield Kentucky. I forgot to add that after adjusting mine I used a tiny amount of blue locktite. Hasn't moved yet.

Thanks for the info - I am revisiting my 22 Magnum and want to lower the poundage on it.
