Thank you! I just made one tonight and he turned out darling. He has become my favorite gnome of all. I made him in Spring colors and did a little change to him and added some legs to use the tennis shoes that I have plenty of . The hardest part for me was the black thread lines under the mushroom. But now that I have completed one of these. My next ones will get better and better. I cant thank you enough for sharing your talent.
Oh I'm so glad you were able to work one up and that you like him. This is one of my favorites of all time - both sit proudly in my craft room - there's just something about them. :)
@@SarahNenniDaher They have become my favorite of all the videos of gnomes that I have watched and made as well. My last 2 of these I made I did not add legs and without the legs they do reflect more of a mushroom gnome like yours does. Thank you so very much!
So cute! I fell in love with everything mushroom design back in 1980. I have a son who really likes them also so I think I’ll have to make him some of these!
I love this mushroom as much as I love the mini mushroom! Yes I think I really want to try this one...the beginner as I am...lol..Really Love them both!! 😍♥️😘
Oh. My. Goodness!! I just love your gnome tutorials, but this one is now my favorite!!! I love you!! You are just so awesome!! I love your positive energy, your laughter, and of course, your crazy cute gnomes!!! 🥰
Awwww, thank you so much, Sonya. I just feel so lucky - lucky that there are people who like watching these videos and making gnomes. :) I really do appreciate you - that comment just made my week!
When filling with poly beads, put the body inside of a cup and stretch the fabric over the rim so that it helps hold it open and steady while you pour.
Omg Sarah!😊 These Mushroom Gnomes turned out fabulous! They are absolutely Adorable! I Love them😍 I can't get over all the gnomes you make, I love them all!💖 I absolutely love your channel and all the gnomes, crafts and diys you make. Wow, I’m so glad you like them, Melanie, and that is fabulous you’re making gnomes, too. I can’t get over how much fun these little guys are to make. Thanks for watching. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Dawn. I'm working on a few Halloween ones right now and cannot wait to share them with you. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. 😍
Let me know how it goes, Susan. I want to try a tall, skinny one next. I’m thinking it can just be a smaller underside piece, but will play around. Thank you so much for watching. ❤️
Wow, thank you so much for the compliment, Cheri! I love coming up with new gnomes - I'm not the gal who can make 1,000 of the same thing. Luckily those people are out there and I can buy from them! :) Thank you so much for watching.
Love love love the mushroom have made 3 now since I watched you. I was wondering, with the shape of this hat, can you try making an Asian gnome ? I hope its okay to ask. I was just picturing all the beautiful colors in the hats of that culture that I use to see and do not know if these type hats are still worn or not.
Sarah I love all your knomes, I have made them like crazy because they are so cute. I’ve only made them using sock so I need to buy the body pattern but don’t see that pattern listed. I love all your ideas. I started an order but need to add this one. Thank you
Alice, oh that warms my heart to hear you love making them, too! And you can definitely use a sock for this one, so don't feel you need to buy the pattern. If you want to try with a sock, make it taller and narrower than normal by making a cut up the back, overlap the edges, and then secure with glue. For a sock, you might want to add a recycled lid or a pice of round cardboard in the bottom. The pattern does make it a bit easier. That can be found here ($6): shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/no-sew-gnome-pattern-tucked/
So glad you like this style. I have a TON of patterns where that is the body style. The easiest (and free) pattern I would suggest is this one: shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/felt-gnome-pattern-set/
The pattern you have listed, is that for the "machines" only? Or can it also be printed and cut out by hand? Would like to be able to buy the pattern that I can cut out myself. Thank you so much for the great video.
This one can be cut by hand and does not include the cutting machine files. Let me grab the link for you: shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/no-sew-gnome-pattern-tucked/
Again, so cute! I guess I'm just gonna have to start a collection of my own! Suggestion--I need a Harley biker gnome!! Want to make one for a friend! Can you help?
You know, I've had a couple of requests for a biker gnome. I need to pick up some faux leather in black and some silver accents. I did see a great biker gnome on Pinterest. I'll try and find the link.
I really love your video, well explained! My only criticism is the top part of the video keeps getting cut off and half out of frame. Makes it hard to see all of the directions.
Melanie, I wish I did. Honestly, it seems that one will work for a long time but then get wonky or stop loading the glue. I know that my next glue gun purchase is imminent, but the ones that have lasted the longest with the least amount of issue are the Surebonder and my yellow one, the "C-biz."
This body pattern is designed specifically for hot glue, so no to sewing that particular pattern. Overall, yes. As long as you create a style with a flat-top (or a cone point which can be squished down), you can sew it. I have a free cone body pattern in the shop you can use.
The base is the tucked pattern here: shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/no-sew-gnome-pattern-tucked/ The mushroom top measurements are provided in the written instructions and here in the video.
I paid for the mushroom tucked pattern but can not open it. I can’t even get back to the file. I would like the pattern but I want a refund if I can’t open it.
