Love the conversation style you both share. I just watched the Apple Dumplings video and ready to try them both with the help of my grandkids. Your sweet little fur faces at your feet are darlings.
You should try to flash fry the corn tortillas, it will get a crunchy taco texture. My wife does that in her enchilada casserole makes a big difference.
It's good, I did 3lbs of meat & adjusted. Can't go wrong with this. Just put in what you like. Maybe shredded chicken? Tator Tots instead of tortillas? Whatever ya want throw it in
I am so happy you don’t do spicy .. lol So I suppose you could also substitute the hamburger meat with chicken as well .. looks great so I’m gonna try this .. thank you for sharing..
I would mix & cook the taco seasoning with the ground beef after it is halfway cooked. Also not use cream of mushroom soup. Instead either the cheese soup or the nacho cheese from jar mix in. Would also make a Tex mex with enchilada sauce, black beans and corn. Would put enchilada sauce on top layer and then cheese before baking. Add a few jalapeños on top also for garnish. If children eating, would just put jalapeños on half the casserole at top. Add sour cream on top when serving to those in family who likes sour cream. Thanks for sharing, it’s a great idea especially in summer months or weekend for the family. 😊❤️
I make a vegetarian version with Morningstar Crumbles and sub black beans for ranch and it is absolutely delicious. Chopped black olives, tomato, jalapeno, sour cream optional toppings
Hello, what you are creating is technically an enchilada. I know the seasoning is taco which is fine but both tacos and enchiladas are identified by the method of cooking not the seasonings. When you make any dish that steam cooks a corn tortilla in a sauce that is an enchildada. Suggested modifications by my American Mexican friend, pepper jack cheese, black olives & your friend in the video already mentioned jalapeños.
Great dish but I don’t like dogs in the kitchen or when I’m eating. It’s like I’m sitting there eating and these dogs are eyeballing my food. Irritating as all heck.
We used sourcream, and Pillsbury Crossaint bread on top instead of two layers of softshells. Gives it a different texture but holds everything together nicely
just use sour cream, but y’all’s commentary while preparing food together is beautiful , everything was prepared so clean and with love ..looks delicious! 👏🏿
I think I will try it with the soup. It was something different. I will have to sub out the Rotel with plain tomatoes and ranch beans with plain. I'm allergic to peppers.
I sometimes make what I call, “lazy enchiladas”. I think I’d prefer that, only because I’m not a fan of rotel or taco seasoning. I don’t think I’d try the cream soup either. I put enchilada sauce on the bottom of the pan, then corn tortillas, then beef and beans, then cheese, then tortillas, more sauce, then top with cheese. The taco seasoning could still be used in the beef. My husband likes the seasoning. The lazy aspect is just not rolling the shells or steaming or dipping them in sauce. lol The taco dish does look like something my mother-in-law would have made. lol
That does look good I love to make different stuff like that 😋 yesterday I made the crunchy tacos with the taco Max thank you for your recipe God bless you and I'm going to try that and hoping you and your family have an awesome dinner 🕺😎🕺❤️
I would say this is a very versatile recipe. If you like the ingredients it will probably work. Just won't have the same taste. It will be a different meal. Have at it!
I would name it a Mexican bean taco casserole I made this before without watching your video, but using rice and beans I would layered with tortillas twice and I did similar the same thing after you it comes out of the oven. I would add shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, green chop onions it’s almost the same version that you may but with rice and beans ground beef
NO WAY! Do you even know what’s in Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup or that Cultural Misappropriation of a product called Kraft Mexican Cheese? I would be at the Hospital if I ate this. I know it may taste good but it will reek havoc on your digestive system! .
You obviously live in an area with no Mexican culture perhaps Missouri? The dish is probably good but you wouldn't find that in a Mexican home or restaurant
Please no cream of mushroom that just does not sound good at all, if I'm had the use of soup I think it would be cheddar.. and I would use regular pinto beans in my opinion. I mean you're basically mixing up a great big taco and then putting tortillas in the middle. And I haven't even watched the whole video. But the cream of mushroom soup almost made me run. But I appreciate your one-pot Wonders that you do.
But I noticed a bit of the ground beef wasnt browned thoroughly. Thatd make me sick and id end up having an explosive BM in your toilet which would splatter the the bowl completely with spots of watery mierda and youd have to clean it off with a brush and some comet powder. It wouldnt be good. Brown the meat thoroughly.
Looks delicious going to try it and as far as dogs in the kitchen it's okay for your house but I wouldn't have a dog in my kitchen or a cat I love the animals but not in my kitchen
I just made mine, I dipped my tortillas in my bean, and rotel juice. I used Cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom. It was delicious thank you....
