Hello again Ella I've watched the lesson and am processing it in my head before I start drafting. Your pattern has a wonderful high bust profile. My girls have moved to a lower floor over the last few years... Distance is hard to judge on this laptop screen. It looks like you placed the apex spread about 2" lower than the armscye level. Do you see any problem with using an iron on bust padding to fill in some of the missing height? Thanks sweetie!
Hello Momzilla, yea u are right abt d bust distances from d armsye. How ever, if u already have a bustier pattern or basic bodice pattern that has shoulder dart such that your slash lines ends at the dart areas den u must not draft the princess dart befor u make ur shoulder drape pattern.
@@Ellacansew1 I'm not terribly happy with the size of my blouses any more. It is always because of the shoulder and armhole. Way too big even though I am a d-cup. I know that I do not have a sloped shoulder unless the blouse I am wearing has a high collar, and my shoulders are not as large as they once wear, so I need well balanced support over my shoulders. That keeps the fabric from sliding off. That is what happens when you, "loose your baby fat!" As your slash and spread design using slash and spread to obtain pleats already has a narrow shoulder, I'm going to be drafting your pattern from scratch. Doing that will help me gain design ideas for the 30 yr old remake I am working on that also has the greatest profile! It was already a bit big in the shoulder. I did see somewhere over the last few weeks while learning about the princess seam bodice, that any shoulder darts need to be closed before making any alterations to the pattern, so starting this one from scratch will be easy because I am learning from you. So, I should make up this pattern, move the appex down a little, the slash and spread to get those pleats, right? You are a great teacher! Thank you for your insight!
Hi good day, just did your one shoulder padded bustier pattern and it came out as described, but for the CB how do I place it on my material as I did not add the zip allowance also u said to unpin the zip allowance after cutting I am a bit confused on this. Please do expantiate. Thank you
