I am an 80s/90s strawberry shortcake fan, it just makes me feel sooo old when referred to as 'vintage' haha! I love the original, my grandfather used to won a video rental store and I would take strawberry shortcake home for a month (sometimes more) at a time!
This is soo cute! I loved Strawberry Shirtckae as a child. I resent it being called vintage, I am not old enough for anything in my era to be "Vintage"!! I have never thought of making my own hats, I would usually just put up with something from the store! You are clever Marie!
how fonderfully cute! I love to make my own things! On my babies birthdays I always make like ponpon flowers (i made a tutorial a while ago, and they look super cute, u just hang them with string, looks like they`re floating in the air, love it!) I`ll like this vid so I can come back to it in April when my son turns 7 :)
Great idea!! love it. Also you said "eyeball it" reminds me when I was talking to my mother about something I said "I'm just going to eyeball it" my nephew laughed so hard and said "eyeball it" kids pick up the strangest things!
Miss Shortcake - much like Madonna has gone through some major image make overs since the 80s. Google it and you'll see! In the 80's she wore a little apron front frock and a bonnet, in the 90's she wore jeans and sneakers and then in the new millennium she switched it up again for a slim dress, and a baseball brimmed poof hat thing. NONE are as cute as the original :)
I got the elastic from dollar store hats that I didn't like but they were only a dollar. Much cheaper than buying the elastic at a craft store and then I got to use the flimsy dollar store hats as my template.
I would do something like this for my 18th but with over 100 people invited and being a full time student with a part time job it's just not possible :( fab idea tho!
