In this video I will show you how to make a patchwork Scottie dog using a single charm pack and a bag of stuffing.
I think this is a nice and easy sewing project, and you make a delightful Scottie dog as a result.
I used a Charm Pack called Summer Breeze 2019.
For this project you will need:-
- 1 Charm Pack
- 1 Bag of Stuffing (250g)
- 2 Buttons
- Ribbon

I hadn’t thought of this for years. I was given one 45 years ago at baby shower for my oldest. Before he was done I had to make 2 more. He loved them to death.I made one for his son when he was born. I just pulled out scraps for one for my granddaughter. A whole generation later still being loved.

What a adorable Scottie dog. Your instructions were great, I think maybe people may have been confused on sewing the front to the back. Not realizing that you need to put right sides together to do this and leave the hole for turning. I love all your tutorials Jayne ,you do a great job. And your daughter is adorable, great job Diana.

Really would like to watch your pinning process and sewing process! I have both sides done. The gusset part is hard! DO I LEAVE IT ONE LONG STRIP?

Beautiful. Where do I get the pattern. And how many charm packs did you use?

Hi Ruth, I don't have a pattern for the dog, but I used half a charm pack - 21 squares. Each square I cut into 4 squares that measure 2.5", from this you get (84) 2.5" squares. Use 27 of these for one side of the dog, 27 for the other side of the dog and the remaining 30 squares for the gusset that joins the two sides of the dog. At 4.30 seconds in the video you can see the layout for each side of the dog. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and happy quilting, Jayne

Was happy when found this tutorial only to be disappointed there is no demonstration on sewing the seams together around the corners of the dogs nose, ears, tail, and feet. This is not a tutorial. I agree it’s all talk no demonstration.
