Finally got around to making this tonight, put it on hot dogs (all beef, of course). I am now in heaven and a multitude of angelic Chef Johns are singing.
Thank you for posting this. I have been looking for an easy way to make this recipe for some time now. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Harry and David had relish close to this. I miss it.
Doh! I made the Provolone steak appetizers earlier tonight as a test to see if I will make it for our Superbowl party, then realized that the recipe for the peppers wasn't up yet. So I improvised. I should have waited another hour and I would've had the recipe! lol BTW--The Provo- wiz was awesome and everyone loved the appetizer!
glazese - do you have a sample recipe off google that you're talking about? I might be able to come up with something for you. I've never had it before but it sounds awesome and amazingly I actually have some figs in my house.
Wow, I can think of soooo many things that this would be great with. A big uncooked dollop of this atop of some Red Beans as a condiment would be good!
I wonder if such exotic stuff like peppadew peppers ever catch on in German grocery stores. Jalapenos might be available someplace I haven't discovered yet.
just mix cucumber, carrot and onion instead and boil it in 2 part vinegar 1 part sugar and some chili fresh or powder in 20 minuts and you should have almost the same result
Jesper Andresen Apart from the fact that I doubt the result, you simply glossed over the fact, that there are hardly any aromatic chilies to be found here.
Chef John. I love buffalo hot sauce pretzel pieces! However I live in the U.K and they're very hard to get and expensive to buy ($4.50 for a small bag). Could you show us how to make the sauce and the pretzels? Thanks for all the work you do for us. You're a saint!
I'm pretty sure that when you eat a lot of hot peppers all the time that it will eventually blow out your taste buds and you won't be able to taste much any more.
