These beans look awful I don't see the need to add chicken broth or vegetable broth. Better to use home made beans rather than canned that way you could use bean broth instead. I never liked a recipe that takes out the seeds and ribs of chile peppers and then adds the awful vinegary tasting hot sauce. The rest of the spices, herbs, and onion are okay but I would add a little garlic.one last thing I would use a neutral tasting oil like a canola oil. Try freshly boiled beans would taste much better.

The recipe very clearly states “easy” pinto beans right in the description. If you want a more involved recipe by all means use one with homemade beans!
