Man I'm glad to see a thermal camera that isn't made by Flir for once. Competition is always good for us consumers. Hope they don't put their logo on it, hard coded into the video feed, like Flir does.
I spent $500 on a Flir camera. It saved me on a job where we just installed a brand new ac, then water appeared on the bottom floor wall. The camera showed the cold spot starting on the very top of the wall second floor. Cut her open and found the wall guys hit the condensate pipe with a nail right in the center. The first unit ran for 8 years no issue until I came along and changed her out. Smh
That’s why code says they have to be in the wall properly installed and not resting 1 or 2 inches of sheet rock inside the wall ! Because the texture wall guys don’t care about what’s behind the wall they are putting up .but shit happens especially plumbing! It’s literally apart of the job
I use a nipple and cap on both shower arm and spout, open water and check for leaks below to ensure the inside the wall piping and spindles aren't the source for leaks,
Just out of curiosity from where would one turn the water off to work on the inner handles parts? I know you didnt need to turn the water off in this case, but im just curious.
If you're removing the cartridges for that valve you'd have to shut the water off completely. Some valves especially single handle valves have built in shutoffs under the trim
@aaronbaraiya3692 That depends, some apartments have individual shutoffs for each unit located in an access panel or manifold. Most apartments however need to be shut off in the mechanical room or at the meter. This shutdown will need to be scheduled 24hr in advance as it affects every unit supplied by that meter
One broski comment: you’re getting spoiled by these MF commercial mania. Please keep your videos as original and authentic as they all were… pushing some product into your great work and pretending to enjoy those bullshit product won’t make you original, enough of that shit on the internet already, don’t be a +1… 😏
Bro, you know you'd sell out too if companies hit you up for sponsorship 😂😂. He put in the work. And now it's paying off for him. Do you work for free??? 🤦🤦
2:12 "Made me realize it could be the shower arm or tub spout..." Or a dozen other joints along the shower valve??? This device didn't help you do anything. Stop trying to flex for your sponsor. Did knowing there was a leak help you replace the tub spout? No... You just replaced stuff until it stopped leaking... Terrible practice. If there's a massive wet spot on the ceiling... Cut it out. 1. It'll give you a better determination of what was leaking. 2. It'll give a chance for the space to dry, preventing further mold growth 3. It's more professional. 4. Chances are most things that would require repair would require you to open the ceiling anyways. *Smh*
5. Good job fixing that leak... Wait a week later a pinhole popped up because you shut off the water?? Now you gotta open the ceiling anyways and look like a hack?
