Beautiful photo and painting! I understand your sense of impending change as your kids grow up and out of the house. Try not to dwell on the feeling of lose because your best times are yet to come. I promise! Grandkids are so fun, all enjoyment and no responsibility, you'll love it!

I am happy that you had a special time with your family! This painting reflects exactly what my favorite vacation place is! I can hear the water lapping on the rocks and a fish breaking on top of the water! It is an awesome painting!!

Glad you had a nice vacation. It does feel a little nostalgic when the kids are grown up and you feel that family vacations are going to change. This was a very nice tutorial all around, it was special indeed!

This was ever so helpful & am thinking these so called nursing homes or facilities if elderly are left, give them activities to inspire, help their loved ones know they are in their heads, do not quit on your family, elderly. Somehow cherish all life because in each one is always the best of us.

Oh my, I have a lot of favorites of your paintings that come to mind, and this one really is high on the list, it's beautiful! So happy you had a wonderful peaceful vacation! I know the feeling of wanting to have all your family together. All our four kids now are adults and on their own, it was quite a transition, however, now my husband and I are taking turns with each of them and their families and each year we go on vacation together. We've gone to Holland, Mi. during the tulip festival, which was awesome, it's a very "kid" friendly town. For a trip with my daughter and her family we all went to Washington D.C. in the Spring. Next year, we are taking our other daughter and family to our favorite spot "Up North" Michigan to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. I don't know how long we will do this, maybe once more time with each of the kids, but it's a great way to keep in touch. A big transition is when they all went to college, but they came back at times, 3 out of the 4 are married, and we are enjoying our growing family. We now have 7 grandchildren. All the best to you and your family. Oh, so sorry this is so long.

Have painted for years (oils and then Acrylics). Honestly didn't think I would like watercolours, but the more I watch you paint, the more excited I get about working with them. It's almost like the paint is alive the way it moves, blooms. Have supplies on the way. Gift from my amazing hubby. For now enjoying your lessons for now and building my to do list. Lets hope Canada Post / courier get here soon 🎨

WONDERFUL PAINTING...I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER AND WHEN I TOOK PICS FROM TREELINES ON A RIVER OR ON A LAKE IN AUTUMN, THE REFLECTIONS ALWAYS SHOWED UP SO MUCH MORE SATURATED THEN THE TREELINE ITSELF.....TFS THIS AWESOME TECHNIQUE....:)

Enjoyed watching this tutorial! Beautiful work. I want to learn watercolor painting, but find it a difficult medium to work with. I watched your tutorial in May 2020 while sheltering in place in the mountains away from our primary residence. Since I was not given a God given talent for painting, I try to learn from a lot of different tutorials. I enjoy yours very much. You have that talent!

You are a great artist and a great art instructor! I am anxious to do my version of this now. But I need to comment on your “unbridled enthusiasm! And I say this in the most caring way. I know I have said this before but I picture you when you were 9 years old when your teacher said “ok Children it is time for art.” I am sure you jumped right off your chair with your hair standing on end all the while annoying every boy in the classroom. Thanks Lindsay. I thought it was Wednesday all day today, even took my grandson to his Wednesday dental appt. Luckily they were able to take him. Just got it thru my head its Tuesday and you pop up with this beautiful tutorial. I knew it was really Wednesday. 🙃. Let's do the time warp again!👍💙
