Hi men, You have really helped me in the past, seeing that your current team is useless, I have fixed it, my strategy is to use The Cloyster you mention The Metagross you mention Here are my improvements: Chandelure with a trick, Timid nature with a scarf ( I haven't actually tried it with a modest Chandelure but I would think it would work with Scarf too) A ghost type pokemon Whichever you prefer ( I used Banette) First after the Staraptor whirlpool we take out Metagross and use trick Staraptor used close combat Then we change to the ghost type pokemon (No object does not matter) (Sometimes he keeps Staraptor for one more turn, the important thing is that he switches to Garchomp) Red will change to Garchomp We let him kill our ghost type pokemon and we take out chandelure we use trick and now Garchomp will only use Earthquake We continue with your Cloyster strategy Try it, a hug (it has helped me)
Perfect! Yup this is a very similar start for gen 2, 3, and 4! I'll probably end up making a separate video for each just for ease of navigation! Unfortunately I got gen 4, 3 weeks in a row! I couldn't believe it
Hey Jinxed, for me Staraptor keeps swapping 5/5 times too, and my Metagross has the same moveset, impish nature w 252 HP and 252 Defense, do u know why?
@@JinxedBoon i do, exactly same moveset as yours on both pokemon, both lvl 100, 5iv cloyster and 31 hp atk def on meta. I tried about 30 times until my amulet coin ended. Funnily enough when I brought more than the 2 pokemon sometimes Red would switch out Staraptor, it was hard to find a consistent strat and I ended up not being able to clear the fight
I have the same issue where he uses close combat every time. but I am wondering what would happen if you used thunder punch twice with a choice scarf, they should let you move first. Then trick it onto torterra when he comes in. What do ypu think? Im waiting on the gen 4 team to test this
The error may be your strings. Just a few things to help encourage it to swap out, make sure to be using choice specs and also the moveset on metagross is important, mostly thunderpunch. Other than that, it seems like it's not 100% but works the majority if the time in my experience! Sorry you are having troubles with it though
@@JinxedBoon yes i tried it 5 times now today.. its impish with thunderpunch and everything i allready fought this team and know how it should work lmao the fight is freezing for a split sec and then it says error 942421 effect not found 2 times tried to search on google but all i could find was the same error related to trick room from 2020 or something
I've heard quite a few people saying this. He has only done it to me the one time when recording but weirdly, I haven't got the gen4 team again since recording this so I'll test when I finally do
bro i just had gen 4 team and staraptor keeps using close combat. 4 times in a row wasting my riches charm. very frustrating. maybe thats all the ai does now. would be nice to see some more data am i just unlucky or what?
Thats so weird?? I've used this strat on 5 seperate weeks against this team and only seen it the once in my recording. Sorry it messed up your run. I'll look into it and see if there is a build that causes it to get messed up. Im assuming if you are built for straight damage, the AI might calculate that it can do enough damage with CC instead of swapping, so maybe you would need to be a high Def and HP build? What is yours built like?
@@JinxedBoon Okay, so i trained another meta on an alt with impish nature 25def IV and max EV and it worked right away... so there must be a defense requirement
Yes it is! Because each gen has its own team so you cant do the same for each one. The cloyster/metagross works for 3 of them however there are different setups for them
@@JinxedBoon Is the Red’s Gen team randomised? If yes, can I just log out and re-login to re-randomised to get the Gen I can beat with metagross cloyster strategy?
@ISnyut it's random each time you beat it each time but it'll be stuck on that one until you beat it again. So you can't skip a specific generation. Luckily to beat all 5 team only really requires 5 or 6 valuable pokemon in total!
@michaelduran3921 that would be his gen 2 team. For that one, just lead metagross and trick on the eq, swap to cloyster and set up the same. Just make sure to setup a substitute for the gen 2 team
@@michaelduran3921 cloyster needs sub for gen 2 because tyranitar will use thunder wave on entry. The sub will prevent cloyster from getting para. So you need icicle spear, shell smash, and sub
yep i ran it 3 times and all 3 times i speared gliscar, pika, ty, and meganium then ttar would thunderwave me. i got lucky the 3rd run and landed a spear on both ttar and fer while paralyzed@@JinxedBoon
The LNY event definitely changed some of the ai, like it did in the video. I'm not sure exactly why and I haven't got gen 4 since recording this but next time I get it, I'll test it out and see if I can make it 100%
