So far we have learned the E, A and D major chords. A lot of Rock and Blues music tends to play the Power chord version of these chords to sound heavier and darker.
The upshot of this is the open power chords can be played with 1 finger, so they are really easy to play!! So lets take a look.

Whenever I'm stuck on something hard to learn And I get discouraged I always come back to this lesson by Andy and I Improvise the strumming meaning I go crazy with it and in a short few seconds I feel like a guitar legend and I jump right back on my horse. What I do is to just screw around with finger exercises on the fretboard and try improving my finger dexterity. Then I plugin guitar to my computer and add pedal type effects if my hand is too sore. That motivates me to not give up.

Back to basics. Always, and I mean always a good thing to practice the simple stuff. Revisiting this video has just stoped me from getting ahead of myself because I am not as good as I think I am.. Great lesson Andy..👍🐨🇦🇺

Would be great for you to make a Big Chord rock song list like some of KISS and other big rock songs that mainly use strong chord rhythm in the song.. KISS tends to do that in their songs and Im sure you know of other bands that tend to do this.

I am confused. The power chords he is playing are on the bottom strings of the guitar. I am used to them being on the upper strings. Please explain. Thanks

when ur playing a d or c or any power chord aren't u supposed to mute the top string with ur middle finger?

I've always used 2 fingers for my power chords but I try to use 3 but I can't will it make a difference if use 2 insead of 3

A power chord is only two notes which is the root and fifth. Three fingers on each string would be a regular chord usually

Any chance u could show any part of a Def Leppard song (Animal, Hysteria, 2 Steps, PSSOM?) on a video? I'm not one to learn just to play certain songs, but not being able to figure out any of their songs is killing me.
