Maaaaaannnnn I’ve been waiting for this!! I learned rotoscoping not to long ago & now was wondering how other editors work flowed while using it ! Thank u!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Amazing video as always.. your laptop built is insanely good and expensive too 😂 Such a dream to have that ... Appreciate you teaching us editors relentlessly ❤ Thanks a bunch 🙏
All well and good, Kelsey, and I have been doing this for years. Dynamic linking is a wonderful thing. However, more times than not, these exercises have sent me down a 2-hour rabbit hole because the roto brush is not nearly good enough to accurately work correctly frame after frame. Oh, how many times have I had to do one of these exercises frame by frame, making corrections in the mask because the rotor brush just really isn't that good. Even version 3. Nope. It's easier and quicker to do in runway ML.
heya, I find in both Rotobrush and Runway fixes are required, but you're given a lot more refinement options to do more pro rotos in Ae than in runway, and no exporting required
Good tutorial! But you don't really need to create a copy of dynamically linked comp and then replace and render. You can safely go ahead with replace and render and whenever you want to make any changes to that comp in after effects you can right click on that track and choose "Restore Unrenderred".
🚨 ⚠Good morning Captain Kelsey ! U R looking spiffy this morning haha ! I hate to say it, but I'd love to see you wearing that uniform on every new video LOL. How fun is that uniform eh !! OK, off to watch the tutorial with a coffee.
Hey Premiere Gal, first of all thanks for a wonderful video on rotoscoping. Here's a major question and issue I'm facing while doing Rotoscoping using a dynamic link. So, I've 64gb of RAM and when Premiere is working I've allocated around 62gb of RAM for it. The moment I open after effects, they both have a conflict of RAM space allocated which is not letting me to do rotoscoping beyond a point. How to overcome this? Can you please help me?
I was so excited when I watched this video. This is exactly what I need. But that ended quickly. I can not get to the layer tab. I click rb, double click on the preview video... nothing. We'll, except a warning telling me to double click. Any ideas? (I'm on windows)
I guess it's pulling in the entire video and that I can get to the layer. I guess I can work around that by rendering just the section I wish to work on.
Very interesting feature. I wonder I use lightroom a lot In Adobe Lightroom Classic 2024 one can create a gradient mask to make basic adjustments like exposure, whites, shadow, color, etc. to the gradient area only of the image, lets say the sky or the background only. Is there a similar procedure/feature in Adobe After Effects 2024? Then import it back to Premiere the same way. if so how? Thanks.
3:22 this is the moment where in ALL tutorials on youtube the thing goes well and AE make an EXCELLENT job but on my clients videos it doesnt and i have to go frame by frame cleaning the selection and cleaning the edges, maybe im too picky. but hey i want a fine work like these pro guys shows in their tutorials
Hi I followed your video and everything works but when I rewatch it on Primer Pro the rotoscope clip is slightly out of sync so my subject is duplicated and it looks off. I have spent the day trying to find a solution to no avail
I can’t do this method on my intel 27 inch iMac… the one right before the M1 chip-- it becomes so slow once I go back to premier that I can’t continue to work. I have to end up exporting the composition in AE as a QT with alpha mask and the use that instead. I hear the speed thing is super common. I’ll try you technique about making a duplicate in Premier and rendering that. That I had not thought about.
I'm from Pakistan I have been watching your videos for the past 2 years. But I still haven't become a good editor. Still I am watching your video because I like you and the way you talk is so cute. I also want to become a video editor like you and I am working very hard. Please pray for me and help me.❤❤❤
I put 59.94 footage on a 23.98 timeline, so when it comes into AE and use the rotobrush it just selects the entire image with one giant square outline. Its not until I change the composition to 59.94 that it will actually select what I'm highlighting, but then this changes the timing of my linked comp back in premere and any precise edits I've made no longer line up. How can I fix this issue?
Would love to know the roundtrip workflow for color when After Effects is involved. Worked on a short film recently, shot in BRAW's log profile. Premiere exported picture lock in log, but for the After Effect clips in there, I had to convert to 709 for the effects & compositing, then use a flattener back to log. It almost looked similar, but when the colorist got it, she had a hard time matching the true log footage to the After Effects footage. We're both film students, so it was a learning process, but we couldn't find anything about what the proper pipeline is for that kind of project. Any ideas?
Hi Gal Devotedly watching your instructional videos and using them here and there, I'm a complete amateur. Can you help me? Trying to export a movie I edited and I keep getting this error message: Export Error error code: 39 Thanks in advance Robby
heya! Never said I abandoned my Apple. I have both Apple and Windows! I connect both workstations into the same monitor ❤ Both systems have their unique strengths
