So sweet that both Audrey and Ben said they wouldn't take a Friday treat so the other would get it. What generous and thoughtful kids you have. Oh, I made your 'maple glazed coffee flavoured cake' today. You posted it months ago but I only got around to it now! Delicious and everyone in my home is enjoying it. My youngest asked for another square with his tea tonight. Not sure it will last until the morning.

It's always nice to see what you send to school with the kids for lunches and snacks, even when you think there isn't much too show, that's what real life is like, right. How exciting that both Ben and Audrey ate their sandwiches, that must have been a nice surprise for you. It must have made you feel good that all the kids were saying they would give up their Friday treat, you have truly instilled in them the act of being selfless, it's so lost on so many of todays kids. We are gearing up for Mackenzie's 1st birthday party this weekend, it should be a nice day. We are serving 3 types of sandwiches which have been ordered from a really nice deli, chicken tarragon salad, turkey and cheese and loaded veggie sandwiches, bags of chips, soda pop and waters, fruit plates and veggie plates, pasta salad and of course cupcakes and ice-pops. It will be mostly adults, but there will be a few little kids. It should be a very fun day and that first time most people will get to see her fully walking (she is so proud of herself). Not much more going on here for now, so I'll sign off here, wishing you and the kids a good start to your Summer festivities, I'm sure their year must be winding down for now. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Great lunches as usual 😊. The heat is coming and humidity. We've got a heat warning in effect. Not too bad right now at 20°C and some wind. I'm not looking forward to the humidity. Been doing a lot of outside work before the high heat arrives. I'll have to look for the cinnamon toast crunch dunkaroos. Good to bring on car trips. Take care and stay cool. 😊
