No need to cut the asparagus it has a natural breaking point if you bend it it will break right where it gets stalky. You're a star, beautiful, just made, delic.
I tried out your recipe in my new Milan Air Fryer....man, oh, man, was it good. My wife doesn't much like asparagus, but, when she tasted these spears, she had me make more. Thanks for a fun video....learned a lot!
Hey luv the video... I understand cutting the asparagus but why peel them? The skin on the slims ones are the same as the think ones. What does peeling do to the asparagus?
I need to! I’ve been playing with broccoli in the air fryer but I haven’t loved the results. I probably just need to cook broccoli on a temp of 300F. Too high and it looks raggedy. I’ll keep trying and I’ll post it once I get it right.
I have never eaten asparagus in my life, but i decided to try your recipe after watching your video. Thank you so much. Asparagus is now my new favorite vegetable :-)
Never tried them air fried. I pan fry my asparagus with avacado oil salt pepper garlic onion powder as a side to my reverse seared mesquite smoked steak.
I bought this air fryer Sept 2023 and started using it right away, with trepidation at first, having never owned one before ru-vid.comUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . But I started trying the different settings and yes, I burned a few things at first until I got the hang of it, and have loved using it ever since I got it. For a single person, cooking smaller-scale meals is great while avoiding heating up a whole oven. The only downside to this air fryer is that the buttons are finicky since they're touch-based and the sensors are weird. I'd buy this thing again if I needed to, but at this point (if I don't jinx myself) I won't have to for a while to come.
Instead of cutting off ends, bend them till they snap naturally. Where it snaps is the borderline of woody and tender. If you cut them, you'll just be guessing.
Love this! I am not using my air fryer for veggies often enough... Quick tip about prepping asparagus: Don't cut the ends off, and instead snap them off. This way you'll automatically get rid off the woody bits.
I personally didn't like asparagus and every method I tried didn't come out. Thank you for your easy to follow instructions. My family loved it as well.
Tonya, if you hold the asparagus 3/4 way down u can snap the hard parts off very easy. That way u don’t loose any of sofa eatable wonderful veggie. It’s fun to hear them pop too, lol. This is probably my favorite veggie. I have for decades cooked in a frying pan. Just purchased a new stove with an air fryer. Gonna give it a shot. Pray don’t destroy them. Enjoying your videos. Simple and delicious. Tried lemon chicken. Was really good.
One of my favorite veggies, and wow as if the 1st video didn’t sell me on you, your personality shinned on this one even more. You are a wonderful young lady, can’t wait to watch the rest of your library, sure hope you continue to make content w/the air fryer.
just to further add i am diabetic so have to be Mostly) careful what i eat & this is perfect if i am peckish & just fancy something light which is good for me as opposed sweets lol
Great question. Since the florets are more fragile and thin (I’ll compare the green broccoli tops to thin hair lol), they’re more likely to burn at hire temps. Asparagus is one piece and won’t burn at these temps.
