A tip for when your first leaning draw a circle on a piece of paper, don’t thread the machine and practice using the machine. It will puncture the paper so you can see how you did but you aren’t wasting fabric and thread 👍
You made this look so easy!!! Also, you are the cutest! That intro spoke to me on so many levels 🙌🏼 Subscribed and can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us! ❤️ -Rawan
another option I have found is to sew the fabric for the headband and slip it on but thanks for the video, live in Orlando and love Disney going to make some star wars themed headbands as I love star wars also have you ever tried sewing the fabric under the headband to attach the ears vs using a hot gun? I am just afraid the ears would fall off.
Hi, I just found your website and I love it. You did mention that you have a video with the different sizes of ears. If you could send them to me. Thanks
Hey there, my daughter and I just sewed the ears..do we stuff on both side of the foam or just in front of the foam?? I couldn't tell. And we watch you all the time!! Very detailed and easy to follow. Thanks
Nope I haven’t 😂 I know how to sew, but most of the time I lack time. I’m sure that’s the wiser choice over time for the ears, but I haven’t had an issue with the hot glue yet 🤷♀️
If you’re sewing them maybe alter the templates? The ears should come out to just under 4 inches when complete. What are they measuring at? I’m wondering if the templates printed too small?
@@DreamItDIY They measure around 4 inches. Maybe they are just looking small to me. I’ve never owned the ears and don’t have a scale to go off of. BTW thank you so much for responding. I was going out on a limb hoping someone would answer, and I get the creator… so thank you again!
I haven’t had any issues! These ears in particular are still in the same condition as when I made them. The only this I advise people is not to leave them in a car in summer heat, that could remelt the glue.
Courtney Davis it can be tough to find! I originally got mine from Walmart but it was a little over a year ago. I bought a large variety pack. I really like the kind with an adhesive back (even though I don’t peel off the paper) because it’s firmer. I found these on amazon that I think are the same as the ones I have www.amazon.com/Creative-Hands-Stick-Sheets-8-5-Inch/dp/B00AVYD3EA/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1533531330&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=craft+foam+sticky+back&dpPl=1&dpID=41zoLTTheQL&ref=plSrch I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions I’m happy to help 😁
I feel it is to keep the shape of the ear, but I do think of you stuffed it full enough maybe you could get away without doing it? I’m not sure, I would worry that over time they would flatten and deform in shape. I hope that helps!
I’ll be honest I’m not a fan of fabric glue because it takes so long to dry, but I do have a no sew method using hot glue here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-my3wEI_NGZQ.html
About how much fabric did you use? I’m wanting to make “wedding ears” for my cousin ... whom will be a new bride in May ... though do not want excess material. Thanks in advance!
That is so sweet! So for the ears and headband I usually buy a 6 inch strip of fabric, but get extra if you’re nervous about messing up! For the bow you only need about 6-7 inches. I get a more in depth bow explanation in my no sew ear tutorial that went up a couple weeks ago. Hope that helps!
Haha truthfully? I think I have some minor nerve damage from focusing stage light in high school without gloves 😂 I have a high tolerance at this point
This is going to sound weird but get your fingers damp with water and then the glue can't adhere its self to your skin you do want to move relatively fast doing this and redampen as needed
Yes so I did a 5 inch bow for this headband, but I have different size examples in other videos. If you check out my East No Sew Ears or my Birthday Ears those bows are slightly larger and fuller. I hope this helps!
Hahaha oh I promise there’s a flinch here and there 😂 but I definitely think I’ve built up a tolerance. One of the best things I ever did was getting myself a glue gun with a “cool” setting. The glue is just hot enough to use but doesn’t burn 🙌
@@DreamItDIY thanks for the response. I'm going to have to look into a new glue gun then. Mines is my moms old one so it has 3 options. HOT LAVA and OFF. thanks for the info
