I am making a paper pattern for my "simple to make" shoes project. I cover the last with masking tape, draw the pattern and transfer it to paper. In this video I give all sorts of hints and tips to help you make a really good pattern.
Harry, thanks for another great video. You do an amazing job of walking us through the process but making it very simple and straightforward with your detailed explanations. Brilliant. Looking forward to the rest of this series.
You always bring a smile to my face, with your bright presenting style. No matter the project, you always make it seem fun and interesting. Your passion for your various hobbies shines through. My day is always a bit better, when I get a notification on your latest installment. Cheers.
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, I am Really enjoying THIS SERIES Harry, when a client wants a pair of moccasins I have them buy a pair or 2 of white cotton socks and where them as high as they want the moccasins, have them stand up with someone else doing what you did only with DUCK TAPE when they send them 2 me I do what you did, more 2 come, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Thank you for making these, Harry! I'm getting into (trying to) fix/resize/relast some of my shoes and boots, and your videos and explanations are infinitely helpful, and I like the tool demos and trivia, etc. Can't say enough good things about your channel, they even make good entertainment if you like these sorts of crafts! Cheers from Canada!
Since a last looks nothing like a foot, I think I’ll tape my sock! While it’s on me, obviously! I’ve seen people make tailors dummy made from duck tape stuck on the person (whos covered in cling film, and then cut it off, and fill with foam to make a model of the person Same can work here.
Awesome video, I'm actually thinking of making some shoes with 3d printing (using 3d printing to create the "fabric") and this seems like a really simple to follow process for creating the fabric shapes needed.
Harry this is the most fascinating and interesting video I’ve ever seen I’m loving the hole shoemaking series your a true craftsman can’t wait to see the next video many thanks to you and happy new year to you & family 👞👌🏼
