Thank you for sharing, you did a excellent job explaining your instructions for this tutorial it was awesome. I am so looking forward for more tutorial from you again thank you. Keep up the good and excellent work. Please do more!🤗
I love your tutorials, no muss no fuss. You give great instructions and you don’t flap about. I just watched the worst tutorial ever this morning and, sorry to say she drove me crazy. So it was so nice to be able to watch yours and follow along easily and in an orderly and concise manner. You saved me this morning. Thank you.
Obviously, I can’t put off getting my sewing machine out anymore!! I’m one of these people that hasn’t sewn since I struggled through home economics 40 years ago. Mom bought me a sewing machine for Christmas one year. But at the time my daughter was little, I was home schooling her, and we had a very small house. I didn’t really have any place to set up my machine and relearn how to do this. I would imagine that a person might be able to get away with just gluing. But I like the look too much not to try sewing. And I have that machine LITERALLY still in the box!, (Actually I’m really excited about this. And so is Mom!) We’ll see how much I remember from Home Ec class!!
Thank you Wendy!! Your videos are so awesome for me because they "cut to the chase" yet are very thorough and easy to follow & understand....and oh did I mention they are quite contagious?!!:).... I don't have a lot of time for this but I love making junk journals, and I always know that I can turn on your latest (or any previous one) video and get something new & creative made pretty quick!.....oh and your voice is very soothing, and fun to listen to! Blessings!!
Wonderful thank you wendy for this simple guide I think I shall give this a go when I have some fabric. You made it look really manageable ☺ can you show you sewing it in
Thank you for sharing, I wanted to make a soft cover to put in some prayer and studybooks, if I make an extra flap like in a lapbook or folio I think this would work perfect.
Wendy, I just recently started watching Your videos again. I've made a inspiration daily journal for what I learn from You crafty gals. I just wanted Yopu to know that You are one of the " ROCK STARS" in my daily inspirational journal. Keep up the awesome work! TFS! Judyxx
Awesome Wendy! Thank you so much for sharing your process for making fabric journal covers. It was most helpful. Will be using your process when I find the time to make journals. Hugs! 🤗🐿🐾
Thank you so so much! I've never made soft cover before and would never have even thought about trying it. I can't wait to dig through my fabric pile now!
I'm super excited! I've always wanted to make a fabric soft journal!! I'm traveling right now and am going to start driving home tomorrow. I cant wait to get home to try this:) I've been buying fabric to make this now I've come across a perfect video to teach me! Thank you sooooo much!
Wendy, I am so very grateful for this video! I been trying to see all the videos on soft covers that I can fine...I really like the look of them and find they soft and pliable feel to be inviting to be held and used...that's what I hope for when I am making journals as gifts...I don't currently sell any, since I'm newer...I feel like I'm still trying to develop my processes and my own style. Thanks so much for sharing your love of journal making with me ...K
Yay :-) Thank you soooo much for sharing this, Wendy! Kind of you & I'm super grateful. I adore your soft covers, especially, but love everything you do. Great tip with the Mod Podge & setting technique. Very cool! The beautiful covers you have here, too... Awesome!!
Awesome, thank you!!! I've only done soft covers with file folders or envelopes and wondered how to get the nice squishy look. Also have used the mod podge. Measurements were much appreciated ❤️
I somehow missed this video when it came out, but I found it just in time lol. I just purchased some upholstery samples from the antique store this week and wanted to make little journals with them. Thank you for sharing your process!
Thank you so much Wendy for another great tutorial. So inspirational as usual! Can't wait to get started on this. My problem is I can't keep up with all the great ideas and never seem to finish a project completely before I begin another. Its while its fresh in my head I like to get the new idea started. One day I'll catch up I hope. Thanks again.
again, loved this video, but now I'm stuck, can't figure the math for the spacing of 2 signatures within the 1 1/2" spacing..ugh...hoping you'll make a quick tutorial showing how you sewed in your signature.
Thanks so much for this video, Wendy! I just made three Wendy Soft Cover journal covers. One was mini to use up some copy paper offcuts from some Little Golden Book journals. Would love to see your tricks sewing in signatures for these types of journals. Not having a defined spine, I was a little unsure as to the spacing between the signatures.
Wendy, lovely tutorial! I have been wanting to try this kind of journal:) Can you please show how to sew in the signatures to this journal? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for all your tutorials, Hugs, Judy
Hi Wendy! Where do I get the canvas? I'm having a very hard time coming up with another journal cover. Your info is a wealth of knowledge and safe keeping. Thank you so much for showing us how it's done!
