Polymer clay caning is something everyone can learn. This easy cane can be made in many styles and color combinations.
As a bonus, Pandora shows you how to reduce a round cane with no waste. Come see Pandora's complete caning courses and classes at Curious.com

I have used this method my self for years. I made multiple circles from the tops of coffee cans, as they are translucent (& free) so you can still see the pattern and if there's any distortion. When the plastic cap becomes too large I just put the next size down on the ends and continue reducing until I get to the size I want. Most of the time I will cut the can in 1/2 at least once as well.

Hi Teresa....thank you for all your designs and teachings....I'm just starting out and can't wait to find my own designs. You give me the confidence to be able more with my talent of artist. I've dabbled in so many things but polymer clay was always put on the side because it would be too hard and always there was just a certain way, but you have put all that aside. I especially like your comment about it could be anything you like and that organic is wonderful....again thank you letting your talents teach others to be artists.....

Hi pandora. Thanks for showing how to make your stack taller. Duh..... Don't know why I didn't think of that. I've seen tall cutters but now I don't need one. Mary

I love your tutorials, they are so very educational and has so much extra helpful information. The only problem I have with so many of them is the sound quality of either, so very quiet or a far away distance sound with some other ambient sounds that muffle your voice even more. Great teaching tools but would be better if the volume was better. Thanks for all you do and have brought to the world of Polymer Clay!!

You're right, my voice is hard to heR, especially in these older vids. Also, lots of computers don't have the best sound either. I always use headphones and it really helps.

Awesome...good to know! Headphones would really help for soft spoken video sound. ;-)

Forgot to tell you I love your reversible necklace. I like to make both sides pretty. Don't care to flip it over and see an impression of sandpaper or plain.

Hello! Hope things are going well for you, I love this and all your videos I am watching them as I try to learn more. I do have an idea, thought I'd mention to you.I loved the cap idea for the end of canes, I used it too! But I did a little different, I used some polymer clay circles that I had cut out and baked, nothing special about them. After reducing my cane, I had :) ' NO ', NONE, yes, I mean it nada waste, yeah, I turned each end that I cut off into a workable, usable piece! I'd love to share my link, is that okay? Thank you for your inspiring art! :)

I've seen this on other sites, they use the wonky ends of their canes to make Natasha beads.

I'm sorry , Chris, that some of the early vids had sound problems. Headphones help but I know that's a pain. The new vids should be fine as far as I know. Thank you for watching and please let me know of any other improvements we can make. Also, come see me on Curios.com Search "Polymer Claydate with Pandora". Enrollment is free. :-) Pandora

I can not find part 2 to this reversible choker, can you tell me where it is?
@TeresaPandoraSalgado
@TeresaPandoraSalgado 9 лет назад
Hi, Emerysworld, the other part of the choker is Beginner Polymer Clay Caning and has a picture of the sun cane. Btw I don't use Aileen's Pendant gel any more because it's not hardening properly. I just use Sculpey Gloss Glaze or ICE Resin.

What are some good uses for sculpey III?
@TeresaPandoraSalgado
@TeresaPandoraSalgado 9 лет назад
Hi, Lainey. You can leach Sculpey III by putting a slab of it between two pieces of paper, then placing foil and a heavy book on top. Leave overnight and much of the plasticisers will have leached out. After that, the clay will be more like Premo.
