The Chauncey shawl is made with our luxurious Mirage Sport yarn. It’s a beautiful sport weight yarn that’s luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape, amazing structure, and a subtle gleam. Ideal for heirloom blankets and shawls, hats, scarves, sweaters, and much more! Mirage Sport is a divine blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Natural Baby Camel, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Mulberry Silk with 350 yds/320 m per skein.

Our sample was crocheted with one Crisp Air Hues Mirage Sport Kit [350 yds/320 m per skein (1400 yds/1280 m per four-skein kit)] and one skein of Biscotti Mirage Sport (350 yds/320 m per skein). I find it hard to pick a favourite season. Each one brings something different to be thankful for and to find happiness in. Winter is a time for rest and regeneration after a long year and before the new one begins. Spring brings hope and growth and new beginnings. Summer sunshine makes my heart feel as large and full as the sun and Autumn brings the bountiful harvest and begins the wind down into winter again. You often remind us that we only ever have the moment we are living and I am grateful to be alive to embrace every moment I can ❤

What beautiful colors! Your yarns always inspire me! I'm going to go against the grain here and say winter is my favorite season, even though I love the contrast of all four. In the winter, I can slow my pace, spend more time on my crafts, and wear the warm, cozy sweaters and socks that I have made. It is a nice breather after the hustle and bustle of the holidays 😊

I actually really love winter. I don't know a lot of people who love winter, but something about the quiet, cold mornings, being bundled up and sipping hot cocoa, and watching the world take a bit of a nap to have the energy to jump into spring also recharges me. I love the longer nights and the quieter streets earlier in the evenings. I love seeing the deer and their babies perusing across our lawn.

My favourite season is autumn. Hubby and I got married on Halloween. We met on Halloween 1998, got together Halloween 2010 and married in 2015. I suffer intractable migraine meaning my attack is 24/7/365 and has been for 7y10m. He has been my rock and pushed me to learn crochet in April 2023 and I am so glad he did as it has been an amazing distraction technique and helps me cope with being bedbound

As someone who gets migraines as well (not intractable) I can imagine how awful that must feel constantly. I’m glad you found someone who supports you and cares for you and who helped you find a hobby that helps as well. My husband also encouraged me to learn crochet (I was always collecting yarn at thrift stores to make with a knitting loom, so one day he bought me a crochet hook because he thought I might enjoy it). I have Major Depression and when I was going through one of the worst bouts of my adult life, I decided to go for it and taught myself in a weekend back in 2021. Almost exactly 3 years later and my mental health has significantly improved and I’m almost constantly creating through crochet and now knitting as well. I’m sending out as much positive energy as I have that one day you and your doctors can find a better long term solution for your migraines and you’ll be able to thrive and not simply have to cope. 🩵

@@chelseaoconnor3261 having someone who actively supports and encourages me has really helped me. Being in the uk I am yet to find a second hand or charity shop that has yarn. It is amazing what starting this craft has brought me. I am in several Facebook groups and discord communities for crochet and have had so much support both learning the craft and having a safe place to vent. I am so glad it has helped your depression. One of my first big projects was a shawl I did for myself I ended up making a second that was auctioned for charity. I have done a couple of amigurumi but shawls and blankets are what I get the most joy from.

Absolutely love the Fall/Autumn 🍁. The weather is cooler. We have basically 2.5 seasons here. We do get beautiful Fall/Indian Summers all over California especially by the Coast where we wish we still lived sometimes.I've got lots of autoimmune so 100°-116F/40°-44+°C Spring/Summer are never pleasant. It makes me ill & I'm trapped indoors almost all summer. Spring is like 2-6 weeks. I love all of the holidays in Fall/ Winter♥️. The smell & taste of spices, pumpkin, cinnamon, chocolate,vanilla, hot coffee. All the decorations everywhere. Have a year round Cmas tree.Love the cool nights, less pollen, nice breezes etc. We have had horribly long Summer that went into Fall. Was 104° last week! Now 80's so it's bearable 😊. Moving isn't an option so Fall is when I come alive!🍁🍂🌻🍄🌾 Best of all I don't swelter when I crochet afghans & blankets! 😆🤭

My favorite season is winter. I love the feeling of the world being blanketed in snow. It feels safe. Seems to diffuse the noise pollution. I'm a solitary person so winter is my season and I'm a February baby. I used to make igloos with my dad when I was a child in Pennsylvania and we would make all these tunnels too to connect the igloos. Winter is a magical season. :)

I'm most definitely a summer baby, i love everything about summer, plants in full bloom, full greenery, all the wildlife is multiplied, baby birds have left the nests and other baby animals venture out with silkworm from the parents. It's just a magical time of year. I love all of your yarns, every time i see a new pattern i end up drooling at the gorgeous colours and the fibers, I'm in the UK so I'll definitely have to save up for a couple of months before i can purchase any though. Definitely young to try this pattern as something to have on the go while traveling, a nice easy one that you doesn't need you to reference a pattern every row.

What a gorgeous shawl pattern! I love that it’s worked from one side to the other so that it grows as you go, but then reached that point where it starts to shrink again. I think something I struggle with when making shawls is that they often just grow, so by the end each row takes me much much longer and sometimes my attention struggles to get through that. I’m another autumn lover, when I was a teen it was because of the clothes/accessories. Scarves, boots, a warm coffee cup in my hand and the crisp air. Nowadays I love it for some of the same reasons, but I have the added perk of watching the trees in my little woods change colors, taking my son to the pumpkin patch, baking goodies with apples from our trees and cranberries, and I still love those crisp autumn mornings with a warm mug in my hand. I love how every season has something unique to offer and the cycle of death and rebirth is a beautiful thing to observe.

What a fun fall pattern! I love all the seasons, mostly as to what makes each season unique. The scent of the leaves on a hike, a bonfire, the sound of Friday night football game and the colors as the leaves change. Each season is my favorite, as it shows up allowing me to bring nature more into my awareness and experience new possibilities. I love that Fall allows for warm drinks, wool accessories and calming times by the fire, either inside or in our rustic hand-built fire pit, just enjoying nature all around us. That's so pretty! And I think my crochet skills are enough to handle that now. I get my calm for the day and I get to say I LOVE those colors because...FALL is my favorite season! I love the deep hues of fall colors. I love the cooler air. I love fall flowers. I always think of fall as the time before we go to bed. You're cleaning out your garden beds, preparing to turn down for winter. Getting everything cozy. Just like, maybe you shower before bed, you get a warm drink, you snuggle up with a good book before going off to sleep. I start dreaming of the soups and chilis I'm going to make, the occasional hot toddy I'm going to have. But my most FAVORITE thing that happens in the fall is that my brother comes home to visit! I love it when all of us are together. I think I'll make this shawl and then leave it where my sister in law can see it, love it and have it "mysteriously" appear in her suitcase when she gets home. Such a lovely pattern! I like all 4 seasons, but I’d have to say my favorite season is spring, with all the beautiful colors popping out from under the winter. Autumn is close second. The rich colors are stunning and warm, reminding us to get cozy. 🤎🧡💛

My favorite season is and will be the spring season. I love to watch nature to wake up from the winter. It's so wonderful when the days are getting longer and warmer. But of course I am also fascinated by the colours of autumn.

I think fall is my favorite. It's signs show up everywhere, in so many senses - the cool fall air, the taste of sweet and spiced foods, the smell of crunchy leaves, the sight of beautiful colors... And each experience is so captivating, cozy, and fun!
