Great video! Thinking of picking up the Blade 15 Base (or the Blade Stealth 13), but 256GB on the Blade 15 isn't enough and I've never upgraded the storage and/or ram by myself before. You showed how easy it is and that gives me confidence I can do it too! Thanks!

Great video. Simply and to the point. Looks to be really simply to upgrade. Just purchased the Razer with the 4K OLED panel and now just looking at videos to decide to add another M2 and RAM later on. Thanks again!

I've heard some other tutorials say to unplug the Laptops internal power connector for the battery before operation of any installation. Did any problems occur yet after installation?

I've never had issues upgrading laptops without disconnecting the battery, but it certainly couldn't hurt to be more cautious!

yeah can you help me? I had a problem with reinstalling 2 case screws. Would only go half way in. Doubt I stripped it since it's hard to cross thread these. So I left them out. Other 8 went in fine. What do you think? Can I get a couple more from Razor?

Didn't run into that personally, but it's suggest making sure the screws are going in at the correct angle

If you’re just adding new m.2 or add another ssd without removing the original one, do you need to backup your files or not?

When adding the new SSD will it just act like an external drive? I shouldn’t need to install windows onto a drive or anything right?

As long as you're just adding an additional drive and not replacing the original one, you are correct

Why you not unplug your battery? Does it effect?

Yeah u must disconnect the battery first before touching anything. It might cause short circuit if u don’t

Probably around March or later, though some laptops are already launching with 11th gen now.

How do you direct the steam and game files to auto download to the new storage

In Steam: Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders Right click the folder you want (or create a new one if you haven't yet) and select "Make Default Folder"

You could to be on the safe side, but it's *probably* okay doing it without it

@@eightbitJuan yup I know that’s safe side. Because I have a MSI GE66, when I try to remove that battery connector, there’s some technical causes fire. So I’m a little scared

I installed a new SSD in mine yesterday, I had an issue with one of the centre screws (screen side) when installing the backplate, anyone else have this issue, all other screws went in with ease and it looks like the screw hole was not centred

Yes, same issue here. I had a problem with the 2 center screws on the touchpad side. They go in easy but feel a bit rough when touching them. It took me 30 mins to get them perfect in place and I noticed that some screws fit better in a certain hole. I should put them in the same hole as they come. I ordered a bag with new screws because the black paint came off after 30 mins of trying =D.

yeah I had a problem with 2 screws not centering and going in completely had to leave them out

I just called razor and they sent me to a website to order more screws so maybe they were bad screws

I ended up buying a t5 specific precision screwdriver and managed to tighten it when the other bits failed

@@ChineseWill So maybe it was my T5 screwdriver that was no good I just ordered more screws from the company that sells them to razor so we’ll see what happens
