Y'all, here are a few of my favorite easy cakes to make in the summer! #life #recipe #cooking #food #foodie #youtube #lifestyle #chef #love #yummy #cake #dessert #fruit
Whenever I use a boxed cake mix, I use one cup of milk instead of water and a half cup of melted butter (one stick) instead of vegetable oil. This hack makes a really moist cake.
Condensed Milk has sugar in it, Evaporated Milk doesn’t. The main difference between evaporated milk, and condensed milk. Is that evaporated milk unsweetened while condensed milk IS sweetened. Evaporated milk, (unsweetened condensed milk) is made by removing the water content (about 60%) from regular fresh milk. The result is a creamier richer liquid with a slightly darker shade unlike regular milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk is shelf stable. I love all your videos!! NORMA COLLINS FROM TEXAS
When zesting a lime or any other fruit, use the zester like a cheese grater. Don't turn the fruit while zesting. Run the fruit along the zester, then turn the fruit to a new spot and do it again. This will give you more control to not get the white pith part of the fruit, which can be very bitter when cooked. It will also save your hand from getting tired quickly.
😂 I was watching this one this morning and put it on our TV since my phone was about to die at the firehouse (when we are in between calls and training is done we chill) so the guys started trickling in to watch you and I was just given a list to go get the ingredients for all these desserts to make today 🤦🏼♀️😂 it’s sugar high Saturday up in these parts!! I love your energy girl!! Keep whippin’ out the recipes ❤❤❤
3:56 I'm with you, Kristin, key lime. Key lime pie, cheesecake, yogurt, etc. I just live lime! Well, as they say all the best cooks are messy cooks! My mum always said it just means you cooked with a lot of 💕😊
I love your recipes but hate cats especially on your counter and you don’t wash your hands after the pet of the cat and picked him up because the sickening
If you want a super easy no bake cheesecake you should try the recipe I have used for years. It is so simple and makes 2 cheesecakes at one time with very few ingredients. You need 2 graham crackers crusts, 3 blocks of the 8oz cream cheese, one can of sweetened condensed milk, and half of an 8oz cool whip and any flavor pie filling of your choice. My family loves strawberry pie filling the best. The filling is mixing the cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk until really smooth, and fold in the cool whip. Divide it between the two crusts and set in the fridge overnight so that it sets up and firms. Once it sets up add the pie filling on top and chill. I usually put my can of pie filling in the fridge to chill at the same time I set my cheesecake in the fridge to set up. That way it is cold when put on top and you can eat it sooner. Give it a try. You will love it. My family especially my brother begs for it every time he comes in for a visit. Keep the recipes coming. I know how much you love your cats. I have one who will be 17 years old this September. Pets are the best. Make sure to let the cheesecake mixture to set up before putting the pie filling on top or it will make a mess and sink into the cheesecake
@@YouSUBSCRIBE739 your welcome. It is simple but really good. I learned it from my late father's second wife. Not many have it but it is too good not to share. Just make sure to give the cheesecake filling long enough to firm up. It is better that way before putting the pie filling on top. To make it with the strawberry pie filling I sometimes cut up some fresh strawberries to mix with the strawberry pie filling but know if you do this you need to make sure it is eaten quicker so that the fresh strawberries don't spoil.
Hi again :) Little tip; lean the grater over your bowl and scrape the lime on it instead of gowing around the lime with the grater. * sorry for my writing my first language is French, hope you understand ❤
You're using the zester the hard way, instead of doing it like you are, you rub the lime, orange or lemon quickly over the top. You're doing it more like a peeler 😊
There's a very simple key lime pie recipe on that lime juice bottle! Nellie's & Joe's is my go to for key lime pie! Love me some sweet tart desserts! It's DEEEELISH!!! Ya gotta try it! 🏝🥧 Warmth & Sunshine from Florida.🌞🌺🌴🍋🍊🌞 btw there needs to be a lime emoji!🤣😅
Hold the zester still and move the fruit like grating cheese. Can zest right into a bowl lying it across the top and move the fruit in your dominate hand.
I'm going to try this but I'm going to use a 9x13 baking dish. The cake batter should be enough with the graham cracker crust at the bottom. Mmm can't wait to see what happens.
Evaporated is condensed milk that you can add equal amount of water to make whole milk. condensed sweeten milk is just as stated full of sugar but oh so good
Are you sure about that?? Have you ever tasted both of them? Condensed Milk is Sweet, it has sugar in it. Evaporated Milk does not contain sugar at all!! Evaporated milk is made by removing the water content (about 60%) from regular fresh milk. The result is a creamier, richer liquid with a slightly sweet taste and a slightly darker shade. Unlike regular milk, condensed milk is shelf-stable. The difference between evaporated milk and condensed milk is that evaporated milk is unsweetened while condensed milk IS sweetened! The best ever key lime pie I’ve ever had, Follow the simple recipe from your lime bottle. It is so so simple to make. I just made this pie a few days ago. Nellie & Joe’s key west juice. Most stores have it located where your bake goods are. Don’t mess with any other key lime juice. I know I’ve been there and it doesn’t taste good. Nellie & Joe’s the best.
Make it easier on yourself, put the lime on top of the grater and go back & forth motion 😁 looks delicious, I’m going to make it, looove Key lime pie 😁
That cherry cake pie looks absolutely delicious 😋. I'm definitely going to try that TODAY 😁. You never cease to amaze me with your cooking skills. You really need to open your own restaurant.
Y'all are simply funny and great and I enjoy this so much with all the hand slapping counter and y'all carrying on and the cat too!! Thanks y'all! 😮😂😂😅 😅love this y'all 😍😍
I’ve actually learned how to make all the stuff I love to eat plant base. It’s a little bit of a learning curve, have nailed it. My friend had a stroke so I have to go visit him in the hospital tonight. When I get a chance I’m gonna send you a recipe. Love love love.🌹🥰❤️
Lol. Use the zest grater just like if your grating cheese. You made it look a little more difficult to zest than it had to be. But I admit I can't wait to try this recipe on the key lime cake. It looks delicious 😋
OK, Kristen, the difference between evaporated milk and regular milk is simply they bring it to a boil and cook the water out of it and sweeten condensed milk is so thick, because the sugar in it caramelize is when they boil, and becomes even thicker
Forks work really good for holes unless the topping is too thick. Looked yummy!! 💕 EDIT: hold the whisk in your left hand. Take the lime or whatever and lightly scrap the skin over the grater. You are so funny! 😀
Condensed milk I believe has sugar. Evaporated milk is just no sugar added and I think about 60% of the water has been removed. 💕 EDIT: When you are zesting, just get the top peel. You were doing it too hard. When you do that, you get the white underneath. It is bitter. Get just the green peel You won't have to work so hard. 💕
I watch your videos mainly for your personality, not so much for what you're making. You're hilarious ya'll! Be You!!!🤩 Oh! And when you slap the counter😂 after taste test
With the zester hold the zester face up and do fast short scrapes with the lemon or whatever you're zesting it will be easier just watch for the bitter white under the outer rind you don't want that. Love you're videos.
Kristen, you're a doll. Try holding the grater for the skin on fruit still, and rub the rind of the fruit up and down a couple of times, against the grinder. Then turn the fruit to area with skin. Don't grind into the pythe. 😊
To use a lemon or lime zester, you hold the zester in one hand, and your dominant hand, you move the fruit you’re doing it backwards, my dear, you’re moving the zester and holding the fruit the other way around you hold the zester, and you move the fruit along it Giving easy, even strokes glides and there you have it
Have y ever tried to make a key lime cream cheese frosting to spread over the cake? Try to put some of that key lime juice in the cake batter before you bake it too It makes for a scrumptious cake. The best you'll ever eat! Don't forget a dollup of your favorite ice cream with it. I use key lime pie ice cream. YUMMY!!
Your Cherry Chocolate Chip Cake Pie. Have you tried making one with a Chocolate Cake mix with Chocolate Chips and Chocolate Chunks in it? It's like making a chocolate covered cherries cake pie. Wouldn't you LOVE that?! 😇🥰😻
