here is an amazing and easy method for secondary animation in Blender. you can use this method to animate loose rope, clot, polygon hair , long ears and tail like a dog's and your overall animation will look much more detailed.

remember guys, theres always an indian from youtube that can explain better than all the teachers out there would. thankyou. i think u people are blessed with simplifying complex understandings.

This is fun but a warning: the reason this works is the way the damped tracks are stacked on each other creates a circular dependency loop, so Blender doesn't immediately find a solution to the pose right away and iterates over time. This is how the wiggle is achieved with no physics. However, if the rig is especially complex or you are expecting deterministic poses, you will need to bake a sim or do some hand animating, unfortunately.
@binyaminbass
@binyaminbass Год назад
it's amazing that blender doesn't just crash. I thought circular dependency loops are like silver bullets for blender wolves.
@Undy1
@Undy1 10 месяцев назад
Yeah, definitely avoid that - having circular dependency loops breaks a lot of stuff, especially other physics - stuff can sometimes not update from frame to frame or update incorrectly. There's all sorts of weird things that can happen that will screw up the animation in not-immediately obvious ways. It's possible to lose days of rendering because of it. Ask me how I know. As for the solution - just use regular physics. There are free addons like Wiggle Bones and Blender Wiggle 2 that can achieve this effect easily. There's also a paid BoneDynamics Pro which I also recommend.

@@dmg755 Tell me about it. I didn't know the terms to look for back then. At some point I found the wiggly bone add-on which is fine but can create some really weird outcomes

Ooh, that's a lovely solution for small wobbly animations. Some small tips that you might findusefull for this too: 1. When using the automatic weight paint like this, you should turn off deforme on the bones that doesn't really deforme the snakes. Like the Root bone and last bone in your chain. 2. When setting BBones segments, you can select all the bones you want segments on, and ALT + Left click the value field and type 5. This way you change the value for all the selected bones. ALT clicking any value/property field in Blender allows you to change a value for all selected objects, as long as they actually have that property, saves a lot of time for situations like this

Thank you for the suggestion 😊 i use alt select feature, but while recording i got concious and changed values separately 😂

What you're talking about in this video is more like a bug. It happens because of the limited computation of the damped track constraint. If you don't play frames in order, it won't work properly. If you want to use this method, you'll definitely have to bake action.
