Hit is faster but Don't Wanna Cry has a waaay harder balance and timing management. Although most of the lower rank songs are also hard timing-wise, at least if you aren't a pro, slow-paced songs can be brutal if you get off because it will be noticeable. Idk the criteria the creator of the rank used but Flower, Happy Ending and Oh My! shouldn't be that low imho. Like yea, the top 10 have more figuring-screen play and ripple/unique effects but they aren't that hard to master, just hard to chroeograph (kudos to Hoshi, Dino and their staff for their work there).

Back in the days they always put Albums, Stuff Animals and Figurines to put at the very middle front of dance practice to indicate the center of the video/stage, since SVT is in between 2nd & 3rd Gen Idols, their earlier choreography videos have these kinds of "traditions".

It's one of my favorite songs. 9:26 that's the performance unit :) 13:49 yes, Vernon, The8 and Jun :D You can listen to Foreign Line's song Network Love (Jun, Vernon, The8, Joshua) or to Vernon, Jun and The8 song cover of Officially Missing You (it was back in 2016 i think, but their voices improved a lot over the years). Vernon also joined performance unit in Jam Jam back when they debuted. 15:44 Hit was powerful, but Don't wanna cry was more complex. I would have add Performance Unit's Shhh and OMG on the list too, but it wasn't in the list.

I remember a dancer’s reaction to DWC and she said that the move where they do that trembling kinda thing is soooo hard to do because you need to have a lot of core strength or else not just you arms will tremble but all of your body will. So it is a very hard move to do and when they do that x move they have to step out of other members’ feet because there is no other way to pass between the members in the right timing. Conclusion DWC no:1 is a good choice 👍

see the hard part about a lot of their choreos is the small details and footwork. hoshi, dino, and the other choreographers put so much work into the choreography so its something new everytime. the amount of details they put in every song especially their faster songs makes it more difficult. their slower songs seem easier but theyre actually harder because of the timing. seeing how in sync they are and the fact that they show perfect performances every stage and live shows how much work, practice, and effort they put into every comeback

The object in the center (album or stuffed animal) is used as a central point so that everyone knows their location in the choreography, also to locate the stage limit for the presentations.

you can see an item in the center a lot of times because that is how the group can see center while they dance. Choreographies are difficult, especially with that many people in such a small space, so having an object that is easy to see where the center of the formation should be makes it easier to get formations correctly as well as always be in the frame for the video :)

As someone who’d learned dance before, the dances that looks easy are usually more difficult to dance because you have to execute the moves right and clean with the right amount of ‘power’ u put into the move so

I am not a dancer so i don't know for sure but i have seen an object placed in almost every dance practice video i see of groups, my guess would be that it marks the center so you can position yourself correctly while dancing

The album’s that shows at every single dance practice it’s in order to the members to now exactly the center where the camera it’s located,so when they are performing the song there’s no chance of having a few members out of frame.

A little dancer knowledge for anyone who was actually wondering why there's always things in the center of their practice videos, it to mark the center. Since there are so many of them it makes it even harder to get those amazing formations they do, so, to make things easier, there is usually a easy to see center marker so you know where center stage is. At my dance studio, we use colored tape that we put on the stage

The reason they put something on the floor like that is because it's marker for them to stay in frame of where the camera. They just recently with Fear began doing moving choreo videos. Before most of their work was stationery.

The book and the toy that was in front of them is to show where the stage would usually cut off, just so they know when they would be getting to close. Also so they know where to place everyone in the right amount of room.

Seventeen said that Hit, Getting Closer and Call Call Call are their hardest choreographed songs they’ve done so far. Call Call Call is tiring because the chorus dance is repetitive, formations continuously change and requires them to shout one after the other. For Getting Closer, it’s tiring and strains their energy because there’s hardly any time for them to relax in the dance. Then, Hit would most probably be their hardest by far because they have two choruses (first and third) that require the same energy and continuously drains them however it does have the anthem and ‘breathe’ section which literally allows them to breathe lol. But what’s straining is DWC. Tho it’s not as hard but it ruins their knees because they have to fall onto the ground without any support. They didn’t include ‘OMG’ in the list but it’s also a pretty dangerous dance because one of the performance unit member has to run ‘up’ on the other 3 performance unit’s backs and jump from quite a height. It’s really bad for their bodies so they’ve stopped performing that choreo in their live shows. I think they’ve only performed that routine two or three times in their whole Seventeen career. Otherwise they’ve changed it to a safer choreo.

As you ask at the start for the album on the floor and the crocodile. For Aju Nice, there is this cute little one on the floor. And it’s Wonwoo’s cause during aju nice era, he was sick so couldn’t dance or go on stage. If you check on RU-vid, there is a performance where all of them wear Glasses (Wonwoo always wear glasses)

I think the reason for "don't wanna cry" being no.1 is because putting awesome, unique and effective choreo on slow and emotional song is way harder that putting choreography on hype songs. I used to dance btw and thats what I think about this

I think this is one of their tricks on how they were able to make synchronized performance while allowing the audience to view all the members at eye level perspective. Not sure if anyone said it alr but the "book" actly works as a marker. It's like to mark out the front center for them to keep track of their positions. Usually dancers/idols use bottles since it's the easiest to get on their hands in the room But itd be nice if they put their album thr hahahha (tho most ppl shld alr have seen their album if they are watching their dance prac ahaha)

Hit is the second because I think that Hit’s move is more easier than don’t wanna cry but watch makes it harder is the energy that is being used and Don’t wanna cry is the first one because there are so much small details on the dance moves and needs a lot of body control to do it... I didn’t know if you were asking/didn’t know but at @6:43 during dance practices for idols they usually have something placed on the floor to know where the center is when they dance. That way everything is kept centered and helps with synchronization. (At least that’s what’s I read/learned lmao)

im kinda late to this video but dance groups put something on the floor (speaker, tape, album, etc.) to mark the exact front and center position. that way their formations stay tight and clean as they transition through them.
