So far this is my favorite pattern. I made 3 of them, once you get it started it just goes on. A fun pattern. My next pattern is Kizilkaya Crescent shawl.
Just downloaded the pattern and can’t wait to get started just love your patterns so well written and the chart is so helpful! I have a sport wt yarn cake from knitting Fever and it’s %100 cotton I hope that will work ok because I can’t use mohair or alpaca I do have some #3 acrylic/polyamide but the color is not matching with the cotton yarn cake. But I’m gonna try this with just my sport wt. cotton yarn cake. Greetings from hot humid rainy Tennessee ❤️
Oh wow 🤩 love everything you do❤️ I would love to send a picture of the Gooseberry Marmalade not sure how to post on Ravelry.... love this shawl although I’m extremely allergic to mohair and alpaca so I would need to substitute for this or would a yarncake be ok?
Thank you! You can try a small swatch and see what it feels like. With the cotton, you'll get a lovely summer evening or rainy summer day shawl 😄 The cake I used is 100% cotton and I really prefer that to the blends that are also available. It's a bit more difficult to work with, but for this shawl you'll need loose tension to get a flowy fabric. About posting on Ravelry, did you try the instructions I mentioned in the previous comment?
Hey! You can use the speed settings in youtube to slow down the video to see all the movements. Sorry if it's too fast, but this is not a tutorial on the magic ring. If you don't want to use a magic ring, just chain 5 and slip stitch into the first chain, then work the first row around that.
Do you mean for wearing as a scarf or as a shawl? I think anything above 1.6-1.7 meters for a scarf, so you have enough depth at the widest point to cover the chest area. I usually keep the deepest point in the front and wrap the rest around. Or pass it around my waist, but for that you need it to be about 2 meters long or more, depending on your waist measurement.
