As we are approaching the end of the year,
it's very difficult to break into landing in the media.
This is a time when seasoned experts get to come back and and talk about
their end of year wrap ups and things like that.
And I'm very transparent about that. If this is your first time pitching,
this is a difficult time to pitch. That being said,
I do have a little trick for you to possibly land in the media.
And I talk about this in July, and I'm going to talk about it again for January 1st.
Laws change July 1st and January 1st.
Could be your state laws, could be your county laws,
look into any new laws that are going into effect.
So you could pitch the last week of December or you could pitch right after the new year.
But see if there's something related to your industry that positions you as an expert.
It is not something that lots of people are going to pitch.
So they're going to see all of the end of year roundups.
January, they're going to see weight loss, organization, New Year's resolutions,
failing at your resolutions, blah blah blah.
Everybody's going do that.
But the new laws is just a nice way to sneak in if you haven't
yet had media and you're ready to go from established to known by being in the media.
So check it out, see what you can do.
See if you can pitch a story. And I can't wait to see you in the media.
