Join me in the kitchen as I prepare a delicious and easy Veg Pulao, a flavourful one-pot meal that's perfect for any occasion.
This recipe is packed with vegetables and aromatic spices, making it a healthy and satisfying dish for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice
- Mixed Vegetables (Carrots, Peas, Potatoes)
- Oil/Ghee
- Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- Bay Leaf
- Cloves
- Cinnamon Stick
- Onion
- Tomato
- Ginger-Garlic Paste
- Coriander Powder
- Turmeric Powder
- Red Chilli Powder
- Kashmiri Chilli Powder
- Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
- Curd
- Ghee
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- Water
Instructions:
1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
4. Add tomato and sauté for a few minutes.
5. Add warm water and sauté.
6. Add coriander powder, red chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well. Add warm water.
7. Add chopped mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.
8. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low heat.
9. Add garam masala and curd, and mix well.
10. Cover and simmer on low heat till water is absorbed.
11. Add fresh coriander leaves and cooked rice (basmati) and mix well.
12. Add ghee and mix well.
13. Serve hot with raita or your favorite side dish.
