Your vintage hair tutorials are excellent, and the look suits you so well. I'm so glad you did this one, because may hair is so naturally straight. Plus, my hair is long, down to the middle of my back long, and it would take absolutely forever to curl it, if I could even get the curls to stay in. Plus this look takes advantage of side swept bangs! I will definitely try this, and I hope to find more videos for straight hair and everyday styles. Beautiful work, thank you so much for sharing!

Nothing frustrates me more than trying to learn these hairstyles. Yours are the best tutorials, and after watching this one it finally clicked! Less hairspray, more teasing. And I finally did a perfect barrel roll without actually using any hairspray.. too bad I was just practicing before my shower. Thanks so much for your tutorials!

Love, love, love this. Thank you so much. My hair is as straight as a board, fine, and thin and the only way I have been able to get it to hold a curl is by using a flat iron and foil and sleeping in it with each section hair sprayed a good amount. Mean less to say not always easy to get done with 6 kids.

Yes, I use a holding wax a lot of the time to smooth my hair. I rarely use pomade though-- it is too greasy.

Thanks ever so much! I have naturally thick, curly hair and trying to tame it into pin curls for most vintage styles ends with me in tears and something thrown out the window. Straightening my hair keeps it in line (mostly) and I love the barrel roll look. You're my hairstyle goddess xx

I really like all your tutorial videos!! No, I just start brushing them sideways when they are wet when they get to the stage of not looking cute straight anymore. And I blowdry them over as well. They seem to work just fine. It also depends on how they are beign cut-- for me that is most of the battle.

I have been looking for the perfect hairstyle for Halloween (I'm being Steve's gf from The Outsiders, Evie) and I absolutley couldn't find ANYTHING that pleased me.
