Yes, zip ties actually look amazing for this (Better than the elastic bands) it is a bit difficult to get them to look natural at this scale as they are quite stiff. I did use them on the engines originally and bent them to shape - this meant cutting them and using superglue to attach them. Quite fiddly and they broke off easily unfortunately. I’m going to pursue it a bit more. Thanks for watching 🙏
Nice! Wargames Atlantic uses some caps (from milk and other dairy products, it seems) glued together as scatter terrain for their 'Death Field' promotion photos. Naturally, I stole the idea. Look ok as is, would be even better when detailed (a small washer would do wonders for a 'fuel barrel' look) and painted.
Thank you. Yes there is plenty of fun to be had making this type of terrain and if it is for 40k, pretty much anything could be used! 😄 thanks for tuning in 👍
It seems to me that I would not be able to stick the “cargo” to the platforms. I would move it endlessly, so leaving it not glued is just right for me. Thank you for the idea!
I tried that off screen as a first attempt! They looked really nice but way too fiddly and broke off very easily with use sadly - shame because they looked awesome 👍 thanks for watching!
I’m not sure it’ll be feasible to get hold of as many as I have! 🤣 They are from a toy telehandler from a series called DRIVEN by Battat - it is from the mini series and the telehandler is blue in colour. I have no link. I bought 6 for another project so had the pallets left over 🙂 hope that helps and thanks for watching 👍
I got them in a super cheap clearance sale at a TKMaxx store - so chances are you won’t get the same deal. If it’s helpful they are called LED pool torpedoes and seem to be readily available online. Hope that helps 👍
