Easy way to do The Driver mission - GTA Vice City

The Driver is often described as one of the hardest missions in GTA Vice City. However, as we show, if you get the first corner right then you can still mess up at least two times in still win. The key is to time it right to tap the back of his car to knock him off course.
Apart from its initial acceleration, your car is faster and if you can get in front you should be able to stay in front.

Dude, you wouldn't believe the way I could pass this mission. I tried every single way to pass it and it didn't work, at the end I got so tired that I tried to pass it the normal way and almost at the end the other car lost control and fell upside down, this mission is all about luck 😂

Surprisingly I beat the mission after four tries. I thought it would be a lot harder. Honestly, I had more trouble with the seaplane flyer mission because I can't get the plane to take off the water. That took me god knows how many days to finish.

This is a joke of a mission - the car you're given is shite and it feels like you're driving on ice, and if that isn't bad enough all these random cars decide to get in the way and you bounce off of them like a rubber ball. Meanwhile his car is stuck to rails.

My hack for this mission: Get a gun and when the race starts, get out of your car quickly and shoot his car's tyres. Once you puncture his car, then its incredibly easy to win the race. Worked pretty well for me.

another easy strategy: use the "slow down gameplay" cheat. it slows down the traffic so makes it more manageable.

Back in the day i parked a bus across the bridge before the mission, and the guy ran straight into it and i passed him just in time to win. But this was after losing to him countless times

Sentinel is slightly faster? Sentinel is one the slowest cars, and Sabre Turbo is the fastest car in the game

Sabre only has faster acceleration, sentinel is faster

@@jakelarkin2990 fast acceleration is what makes a car faster in street races. Sentinel will never reach its half speed when you are taking a turn after every 30 meters or so.

Side note: The cherry topping mission I found it easier to use my Helicopter from Vercetti estate and land on the roof across and take out the men. Bypasses the entire Level basically got 3 men 2 kill . And the package is yours. Mission done. Easy. You can even jump across to retrieve the package and helicopter 🚁 away Bonus: look for the 💀 token on the roof for further use once this mission is complete.

If you are fast enough the police cars wont get spawned in/fast enough to stay and not despawn Try to get a two star wanted level and use a really fast car and youll notice theyll disappear

Just beat "The driver" on my 4th try I actually missed the last checkpoint had to handbrake turn and just crossed the finish line by the skin of my teeth but it's just down to driving skills really xD

I passed the mission. I played old version. 1. Some said you can prepare a huge vehicle and park it in front of clothes shop to block the car. This didn't work. Vehicle will gone. 2. Changing better vehicle or bike, still require you to have good driving skill. I am not the "controlling" player, so this didn't work. But the good car you prepared still there, wouldn't gone like huge vehicle after racing started. 3. Hit his car's tail during start. Still require you to have good driving skill, else he can overtake you. 4. So, you must activate "comeflywithme". Must activate it during start, if you activate it in the middle, he might fall into water and dead. He cannot dead, else mission failed. 5. "comeflywithme" and change your car to Infernus, still 10% rate you can lose. So if you see the chance somehow he stucked at house or somewhere, please shoot his tyre. 6. With condition 5, I only can beat him in last 4 checkpoints. 7. I am not the good driver of GTA. But still manage passed the toy helicopter bomb building mission, toy flight drop bomb mission and boatyard mission with multiple attempts. Not that bad my skill, but this mission is terrible.

On android its also raining so the car is already slower and its so slippery you have to slow down so much on the turns its insane.

This mission is way too easy on mobile. There is almost no traffic and no police to chase you, not even scripted police cars crash at 2:03 (in any other wersion two cop cars always heads-on crashes right in front of you at this intersection) and not a single patrolling officer shooting at you on sight.

This mission is hell. The car is nowhere near as fast as what your opponent use then you have police cars deliberately crashing their cars to yours.

I was quite lucky. I tried this mission again as soon as I failed (with the wanted stars being still on) and just as we're about to go through the first corner, he slams into a police car. Easy win.

The only way I could beat this mission as a kid was to do the flying cars cheat. While he would fly into the air immediately I would drive very slowly so to not fly.

I beat this mission once by using the slow time cheat. I have to use the flying car cheat to win the race.

I edit pc version game file relating car speed and reduce the speed of opponent car.i think his car is sabre.i reduced the velocity of his car and save the game file and easily win the race and his car car was moving in tortoise speed.

I evened the odds by quickly getting out and typing in get there fast to get his same car it was still hard as he gets a head start we would have to wait till he mess up and then pray to God either you don't mess up or somebody crashes into you once we get the lead it's pain in the butt mission always remember once u win to save immediately otherwise god damn 😂

Mobile is way different from pc, in mobile, hillary's speed is way less and in pc, once he passed you, you cant catch him.

When I play, he ALWAYS completes the mission in 2 minutes 00 seconds. I keep just missing beating him by 1 or 2 seconds. You take 2 minutes 15 seconds to do the course, and it's a win. Somethings fishy there.

This mission is not that easy on mobile .. I am getting so much of traffic crashes and police crashes plus this car go out of control when you speed it up.. I guess you used some kind of mod I guess

@@jonnyc2617 I found a way that worked, on the way down the street you stop at Raphaels and quickly change your suit, this removed the wanted level and stops the pesky scripted cop collisions.

Sentinel has better top speed than Sabre Turbo, it only accelerates slower and has worse handling because it's heavier. Just look at 1:40 how easily he cactches up with Hilary

Sorry man, but no a single thing in the clip is true. NO ONE!!! I started the mission 17 times and without any success. His car is faster and more accelerable that mine. The situations that can be seen in the clip, how you overtake him , cannot happen to me. He not give me a chance to overtake. His car takes the corners very easily, whereas with my big clumsy and heavy car it is far more difficult. Please give more realistic idea how to get ahead of him.

Hack with cheatcode. Get in tommy's car Type cheatcode - comeflywithme Both racing car will tend to fly. Drive carefully till you reach destination. Phills car will flow up nd down as he is unable to manage the flying car. Worked on me.
