Methods 1 and 2 are applicable for anyone to do at home. The 3rd method is too technical and elaborate a set up. Thanks for providing a variety from which one can choose. The demonstrations were clear. Going to use method #2 now
Thankyou.. I use to roll bottle on board braced against back base board, lying the bottle down with a glass cutter braced to side of bottom board & roll bottle against glass cutter hard & ONLY ONCE CUT AROUND GLASS BOTTLE then place "cut" of bottle over burning candle then into ice. Sometimes need small tap on cut against firm timber so not chips. Then sandpaper. Exactly 50% of good bottles cut straight. THEN I glue bottle neck to bottom of base of bottle, then turn upside down & I have wine glasses. I used stubbie beer bottles.
Is a few badly cut bottles worth dying for , Electricity and water is completely stupid . Any youngsters watching please please don't copy this video , the cost of the electricity would cost more than the price of a glass and without the chance of being "DEAD " ?
E angora complimenti !!

Take any bottle, put lubricant oil in it where you want to cut. Now take an iron rod make red hot and just dip it into the oil. Bottle will break smooth at the liquid level. Clean & smoothen the edge !!
