It's not nice to watch a blank paper and hands (when they are not doing anything) while hearing somebody talking for a long time .. ideas: 1. you could film your face while you make the introduction, I think it's more nice to see somebody speaking And when you actually start drawing, you change the camera view to the paper 2.(if you don't want to film your face) you could draw what you want to draw and making a voice-over afterwards, so your hands are actually the whole time drawing 3. you could give your hands other things to do while speaking, before drawing. maybe you could prepare post-it's with the keywords of what you are saying and placing these on the paper when you say something about it or you could write the keywords directly while speaking 4. you could blend in close shots of your material like pencils and stuff and doing the introduction as a voice over again

As someone who just started journalling to get organized, THIS IS SO HELPFUL! I always feel awful for not having those pretty instagram spreads, and this just helps me get the look without all the work.

I just started a travel/daily life bullet journal that I can doodle in or write about my travels, but when it came to my actual agenda I got so overwhelmed with the art I saw on instagram. This has been so helpful. My artistic ability didn't develop after kindergarten and I always feel so low after seeing people's beautiful journals and then there's mine and I want to pull my hair out trying to copy the thing they do. But these tips really will help me. Going to go practice now!

cursive is taught in brazilian schools when you're learning how to write. at least in my school it was mandatory to write in cursive letters. i'm so used to it, and sometimes i feel like it is more practical. anyways, good video 💖

OH! it was so good to watch you do the initial chunky letters. Just seeing that you do the 2 vertical lines BEFORE the horizontal- genius! I keep trying to make that but I was writing the whole letter and THEN tried squeezing a second vertical line in there & they'd look squished.

Here in Texas they stopped teaching cursive as well but a lot of parents are finding ways to teach it at home. I had to give my daughter a quick lesson when she was in second so she could read the grocery list.

I'm 20 and I was the last year at my elementary school to have cursive in my 3rd grade curriculum 😕 this video was so helpful! Thank you!

I watched your video last night and today I spent hours just relaxing and practicing a bunch of stuff you showed, and had so much fun, and it looks amazing, but still not fussy. Even I can do your lettering ideas. Next stop: two Tombow markers!

i love that you said some people feel intimidated because when i was about to start my journal i had two friends that said exactly that. They said they had been wanting to do it for a long time but they never got around to it because 'my handwritting is not that pretty' or 'i don't know hoe to draw' (which is bullsh*t btw) and so on... But i started with mine and started adding little banners and some colour, started attempting the caligraphies that i love the most and i'm so happy i got them exited about this again~ So yes, i love this video because i think it can be that little push to make people try it ;) plus for someone like me that likes caligraphy, pretty things and sucks at drawings, you can never get enough tips and tricks to make your bujo prettyeri✨💙

Hi Alexandra new subbie. Loved video. You must be a great teacher. You explain and demo so well. Took me back to HS days when u showed Highlighter/Marker writing the letters then going back and outlining them! I did this for years in classes because I was bored. Also created large event posterboards using same method for clubs I belonged to. Everyone thought i was such an artist but little did they know....lol. Since adult life this fun thing been forgotten. Bringing it back when I start bullet journal in this wk. Yes cursive has been taken out of my local schools. I dont have kids but friends have informed me of sad news. Love from your neighbor in PA.

I lived in New Jersey when I was younger and I learned it in 3rd grade, I didn't think they stopped it up there.
