Hi Maureen, thanks for your video. I am a complete beginner and honestly the French kind of scares me a lot but I want to do it because I want to nurse in Switzerland. Please which of the French tests is the easiest one to pass in your opinion? And if you can make a video on that as well will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you soon Thanks
Hello. You’re welcome. So the only French test allowed are DELF( international) and FIDE(Swiss). Don’t be afraid, French shares so many words with English. I will make a video on this.
Thanks for your videos they are very helpful. My question is, what is the pathway for EU qualified nurses or African nurses practicing in EU and had had an EU qualification(s)? Thanks
You are welcome. Glad you find them helpful. They have to be recognised as well but it’s very simple and less costly. Will make a video on this next year.
Hi Maureen, I'm relocating to Switzerland soon. I graduated as a nurse in a non-eu country now had my certificate accredited in the UK and been working here for 6 years. Will I need to go for placement. I know the UK is now a non EU country. I do have B2 french level.
Hi Miss T Maria, since your certificates were already accredited in the UK and you also have experience, I highly doubt that you will have to go for placement. You will most likely get a direct entry or an exam. That’s just my thought, the sure response rests with the Red Cross. Great you are already at a B2 level in French. Things look great for you👍
Hello RJ Vlog. You have to have a permit first. Switzerland does not give jobs to non-EU nationals not residing in the country except if they are expats and their positions cannot be filled by a Swiss citizen, EU citizen or non-EU citizen already here. Hope this helps
