I was cringing every time you spritzed your inky papers. I'm amazed you didn't get more water spatter marks! I would spritz the BACK of the paper if it's just softening the paper that you want. The card turned out awesome, though. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Ann! It was just a light mist, and I didn't mind if some of the ink lifted off the paper, as I wanted my layers to have a good distressed feeling to it! Just had to make sure to lightly wipe the inside of my embossing folders so I didn't get any surprises the next time I used them 😉
Justin what a great reminder video to get all those dusty Distress supplies out and use them to make a card as beautiful as yours! We all need a set of videos to help us get our investment value out of all these supplies. It’s easy to get excited with new things and too often they become shelf decor and we then forget how to use them. 😂. Thanks for this video!
Yes!! Use up that stash! You could even use smaller pieces of scrap paper inside the cut & emboss folder if you only wanted 1 butterfly too! Thanks for your kind words, Cheri!
I really love that card! I love the colors that you used and the effects that you got! Really cool! That emboss and cut folder is pretty amazing, too. I don't think I have seen one of those used before.
Thank you so much, Lisa! I loved that it's an approachable way to really add fun bursts of color and metallic accents to your card! And you definitely need to check out Pink & Main's line of Cut & Emboss folders! One of my other favorites is their seashell design!
