Thank you so much for sharing all this knowledge. Great tutorial. I particularly enjoyed the post processing section where you show us a workflow I had never seen before and I will put in practice from now on. Year 2022 is portrait year for me.

Great video. Didn't know about key+drag on local adjustments! So do you usually start with the Adobe Color profile in LR with R6? Would you pick a Canon matching profile if you (Adobe) had one? What Canon profile so you shoot with? On 5D IV, R, I shoot in neutral or faithful and start editing from there. On R5 (and if I had an R6) I often start editing in Adobe Neutral instead of Adobe Color in many of the same ways you well demonstrated... except I start, in this case, with an image that already has a lot less contrast before adding it back. Again, great video...I bet our model could give a different voice over to the footage and teach us a lot as well.

I am familiar with Lightroom so I was able to understand the concept but I find that you go too fast through those tools so I it is hard to follow and I don't want to have to pause/start the time line to slow you down, so just a tip, slow it down a bit, if you are going to show a tool that you use, take the time to explain it and show it, I know these are lit bits size bait to get you hook into probably sign on for a paid class, but still, if you going to mention it, please explain it and demonstrate it. Thanks, now I have homework to do, I think this a good technique not only for portraits but for everything else, because that green tint it is not only the coming from the window, Canon cameras are bias to green always introduce that green tint and no matter how much magenta and red you add to the camera, you always have to correct it on post production, it is in the DNA of Canon color science. You also mention, to create a automated script of a function that you use a lot, but didn't explained how to do that. Lots of food for thought on this video, go to go research all these stuff now.

This is ok, but most of us don't have all the equipment of a professional, I think most of us are amateur and trying to take really good photos with only a camera, and that is what I look for in youtube tutorials, to be really good with only a camera.
@joetomasko9993

You don’t need expensive equipment. Just a window and a reflector that’s it. O, a camera of course.

He has a window, a piece of black construction paper from an art store (I know, a backdrop) to knock down the light on her right side and then used behind her and a camera. If you can't take an amazing picture with those inexpensive elements, stop taking pictures and take up a different hobby / profession.

Read about Sean Archer. He started in one room with one window just like this. And still does most of his work this way. It's his style. Read about Peter Hurley. He started in his living room. With one window. With white all around. And painted wood white to reflect. He put white paper up against the window to give him diffuse light. He would put people on his couch. And sit on his windowsill with the light behind him. And photograph them.
