4.5 yr old granddaughter called and requested I make her some headbands. Super excited, I did a deep dive in RU-vid world of ribbon woven headbands. I’ve watched more hours of tutorials than I’d care to admit (+50yrs) and your’s are by far the best. I’ve already woven 5 this morning and placed an order with your company for more ribbon & clips (excellent prices). I’m a bit nervous to see your tutorials are more than 5yrs old. Hoping you’re planning for more.
Really like that you did an English version, thank you. I find more beautiful flowers and headbands all on RU-vid but most in foreign language. Thank you.
You're welcome Rose. I'm glad you liked the video. I agree, there are lots of great projects where I can't understand the instructions because they are in another language. Very frustrating....
I just LOVE your videos! You explain so throughly without over doing it. Exceptional teacher! I also love how neat you keep your projects. What a Great inspiration!
+Marianne Musk You're welcome Marianne. I'm so happy you found the tutorial easy to follow. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a sweet comment and thanks for watching. Happy crafting!
This is a great woven headband for kids to make. With a little help from you I'm sure she will make a beautiful headband. I'd love to see photos if you'd like to share on the Really Reasonable Ribbon FaceBook page!! Happy crafting!
lorna willard Thanks so much for the lovely comment Lorna. I'm so glad you were able to get something from the video even though you already know how to make them. Happy crafting!!

I found your video while looking for woven headbands. I wanted to make a matching headband for my daughters 5th birthday and your instructions were so easy to follow that I made it in no time. Thank you! My daughter's gonna love it! :)
I'm so glad you liked the video and were able to easily follow the instructions. Can't get a better compliment than that! I'm sure your daughter (and all her friends!) will love it! If you are posting a photo online, send me a link. I'd love to see your headband. :)
this was my first hair band weave. I love it, it came out pretty good for my first. Your calm soft voice helped me stay calm. Thank you so much and will be looking for more tutorial from you on different designs.
+Pam Harney I'm so glad you had success Pam. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave me such a sweet comment. I kind of chuckled to myself though because nobody ever likes the sound of their own voice including me. I'm so glad you found it soothing and comforting while you worked. Keep practicing and you'll be making them with no stress whatsoever. Have a super weekend!
Thank you so much. I know your granddaughter will LOVE a beautiful headband you created. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave me a nice comment. Happy crafting!

+Raven Hay Thanks so much for watching my video and for leaving such a nice comment Raven. I'm glad you like the headband design. I hope you'll give it a try! :)
For the 1 in what size ribbon should I use and how long? I want to be able to have it look as good as yours. Thank you for contacting me right away sure helps out !
In the beginning of the video I have a list of headband and ribbon widths and approximate lengths of ribbon needed. I don't list 7/8" because I did not try them with that width, but the wider the ribbon, the shorter length you need. If you use 45" or so of 7/8" ribbon for each color it should be more than enough. I think you will prefer a 5/8" or 3/8" width ribbon, but if you have 7/8" ribbon already, give it a try and see if you like the result. You never know unless you try!
+Julie Wildermuth Yay Julie!! I love comments like this. I'm so happy you liked the video AND you went ahead and created a headband. Now on to try the other variations. Happy crafting!
You're welcome Elma and thank YOU so much for watching and leaving me a nice comment. I'm so glad you liked the video and I hope you will give the headbands a try. Happy crafting!
Bonnie I love your videos !! I made several head bands for my granddaughter and now I wanted to make some to match for her doll would I use the same pattern ? Thank you
+Sue Cichuniec I'm so glad you have been making your granddaughter headbands! If you are talking about the headband offered at RRR for 18" dolls, then yes, you can certainly use the same pattern. Those headbands are 7/16" wide, so pretty much equal to the 1/2" headband if that is what you are using. They will look so cute with matching headbands!! You can find those headbands here: www.reasonableribbon.com/item.php?item_id=6048&category_id=332 Thanks so much for watching my video and happy crafting!
Really Reasonable Ribbon www.reasonableribbon.com is the best source for high quality, low cost ribbon. They also sell a wide variety of plastic headbands and hair clips. Thanks so much for watching my video!
+Terri Ortiz Thanks so much for leaving me a sweet comment Terri. I'm so glad you liked the headband. I hope you'll give it a try! Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for watching and leaving me a nice comment. The headband I made in the video is a 1/2" wide headband, but you can use any width headband with this technique. Your triangle will just be shaped a bit differently. I show a variety of different width headbands made with different widths of ribbon at the very beginning of the video. Experiment and see what you like best. Happy crafting!!
I love the fact u ladies take the time to make these videos so we can learn....but there is just to much talking....get to,the point...or just make it we can pause or rewind if we need to
Thank you so much for watching Kelly. I'm so sorry you are having a bad day and it's coming out with leaving an unkind comment. Please realize that most people who make craft videos on RU-vid are not professionals and we do the best we can to balance giving all the info and doing it efficiently. Also, please realize that comments like these are hurtful. If you are not enjoying a video, you can simply click off and move on to another. I am truly doing the best that I can. I hope your week improves. Happy crafting. :)
Very happy to have found your video. I'm watched others however yours is exactly what I been looking for. Very well explained and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to make your video and sharing with us; very much appreciated :)
Plastic headbands are available individually or by the dozen at Really Reasonable Ribbon: www.reasonableribbon.com/category.php?category_id=332 Thanks for watching the video.
The English translation of your comment is not coming though very clearly, so I'm sorry if you asked a question because I'm not sure what you are asking. I hope you enjoyed the video.
If you mean the blank plastic headbands, you can find them at Really Reasonable Ribbon: www.reasonableribbon.com/category/Headbands_Clips/c332. If I'm misunderstanding your question, please let me know. Happy crafting!
I don't see why not! I'd practice on headbands first though until you have the weave down. The only thing is it will be a little harder working with the straps because they are not rigid, but if you are patient, I bet it will work and will be fantastic! Thanks so much for watching my video.
So glad you liked the video Kelly. Sorry you can't do slow motion, but maybe watching a few times and stopping at certain points will help. Thanks for watching!
Liza Khan Are you using a hot glue gun Liza? Be sure you have the ribbon ends extending a bit over the headband, so you will be gluing ribbon to ribbon at the very tip. Once you get the ribbon really well adhered, you can trim the ends in the shape of the end of the headband and then heat seal. That should do it. As I said before, practice, practice, practice... :)
