Thank you SO MUCH for having me on, Ellen! You truly are a soul sister to me…love your mission and we enjoyed getting to spend so much quality time w/ you and your amazing fam!🫶🏼
Yay! Two of my FAVORITE people! I've followed both Ellen's and Erin's channels for many years and I often rewatch their older videos to keep inspired in my plant based journey. I must say that the most difficult part, for me, of being Vegan and living a plant based lifestyle, is not having anyone in my circle of family or friends that follows this path. Literally, no one I know even comes close to living plant based (and their health issues reflect it)! I would love to have a "tribe" of like-minded people that I could share meals with. It's rather disheartening sometimes, to feel alone in my food choices, but there's no way I would ever go back to eating the SAD diet! Thank you both SO MUCH for sharing your experiences, your knowledge, your families, and so much inspiration on RU-vid! Please know that you are truly helping so many people by being our support system, even if we don't know you personally 🥰
Great conversation ❤ Erin speaks so gracefully and it is so refreshing to hear someone being so open about past struggles with food and anxiety. It takes such courage! Thank you Erin and Ellen for such deep insights and for helping so many 🙏
Love Erin and Dusty. They are so relatable and just seem like genuinely great people. I almost felt like you guys were talking about me everything Erin has experienced. Same. So weird how closing related the stories are.
I've been following Dusty and Erin for a good while now. They're AWESOME and give sooo much to us in all of their videos. I've learned so much from them and made positive changes in my life because of them!! Thank you for this podcast!! 🥰🥰🥰
Omg, this episode was an absolute dream for me!!! My two favorite RU-vidrs combined💓 You ladies are rockstars🤗 I loved every single minute of this - and relate to you both so so so so much! Thank you, xoxo💞
Thank you ladies! This episode was just what I needed. I was a stay at home mom for over a decade but started working almost 2 yrs ago and “convenience foods” have become a norm. Even with my busy schedule I’m going to get back to what I love- making more home made healthy meals and snacks for (and WITH) my family. Hello Erin, from a fellow vegan Floridian!
Great conversation between the two of you lovely women helping all us with your knowledge and experiences. Just ordered my safesleeve today😊. Many blessings to you both beautiful souls.
Two of my favorite people! Loved this chat and love seeing you guys together. Also, going to order the safe sleeve. I have a different protective sleeve but I love the addition and convenience of being able to store credit cards and cash AND talk on the phone while the sleeve is still on. Such a great product! Thank you for such a great recommendation.
Thank you both! Erin, your health story and how you approached it at first sounds like a mirror of my own. I think MANY women are in a similar boat. I would come out of the doctor crying because they couldn't find anything but it just felt like I wasn't going to make it. I didn't have ANY energy an would move through my day like a robot and not even remember most of it... it was like survival mode. I had insomnia for years. I would cry when I would see my girls because I felt like I would get to see them grow up. I tried keto as I was always falling back to severally low iorn and I think the process of super low carb was a form of detox for me from the standard American diet. I'm not a meat person so after many years, I had become closer to a plant base diet as I stripped more and more from that way of eating. First went red meat and butter then chicken then eggs and fish and finally cheese. I have been trying for at least the last 2 years to stick to plant based with a good amount of raw and am happy to say that I am about 95% there. The last 5% seems to be a problem of social eating like birthdays or a bite of someones dinner when we go out. The problem I have is that I just don't have even half the energy that I had on keto and my weight has consistently stayed up by a few pounds. I'm on a seesaw of either eating more for a bit of energy but then my weight goes up more. Or the opposite, keeping down the calories to take my weight down but I'm starving that low. I need to have wake up with enough energy to get back to exercise like I used to be able to do but I don't want to consume too many calories. Any suggestions for higher energy but with calories in mind? I have been feeling so discouraged lately. With keto I knew what to do to fix it but I haven't been able to get my body in a happy rhythm in this lifestyle but I just know that there has to be a way... I just need to find it.
Hi Angie, I recommend reaching out to plant based nutritionists and physicians at Plant Based Telehealth who make nutrition a forefront of health restoring to help you along your journey. plantbasedtelehealth.com I'm not able to give any specific advice to your story other than it's really common for those coming out of a keto type diet to retain extra weight for a while before restoring their health and my understanding of it is that the body has to learn and trust that you are not going to starve it of vital carbohydrates anymore. I hope you can find the help you need to feeling your best!
@@theellenfisherpodcast Thank you for the valuable information! I will be looking into it for sure... I'm ready to keep moving forward. I appreciate your insight and am so glad that people like you are there to encourage and enrich us!🌺
I just moved to Florida with my family too!! 🙌🏽 two weeks ago! Building my dream garden is a project that we will be beginning very shortly …. Lots of home projects take priority (for safety reason and functionality) but I have been doing so much research for the garden and I’m stoked to get to it soon
Love this! I'm trying to learn more Spanish, too, Erin!! And I want to learn piano as well in the next few years. It's so great to make a plan / a system for goals. I'm still learning but yea it's a process. I'm trying to be mostly plant based.
Love love love ❤️ You guys are such a great source of inspiration for me and so many others. You've inspired me to educate myself in plantbased nutrition and helped instill confidence in raising my healthy plantbased family. Loved this lovely convo ladies :) Thank you! X
Imagine if we lived in a world where people tried to uplift and encourage one another instead of picking on the negatives. Maybe Erin was a bit nervous but we can all be nervous sometimes. How is pointing this out helpful?
So people aren’t allowed to be KIND, yet slightly constructive on a public forums COMMENT section?! 🙄. Maybe she isn’t as sensitive as y’all seem to be and doesn’t need to be smothered in false positives…. Even though I clearly stated I loved her and thought she was amazing.
@@leannacampbell7242 clearly you are allowed, however, just because you are allowed to do something doesn’t mean you have to do it. Seems like you are a bit sensitive but no worries about that. We can all be a bit sensitive at times.
I like Erin..but am starting to strongly dislike how she labels foods as "clean." There is no such thing as dirty food. I get what she means, but it does not help to build a healthy relationship with food.
