I swear all of these guys have become my family 😂 it’s like every morning I make sure I spend time listening to my uncles talk about life and family. It’s drastically change my outlook in life. Thanks guys 🙏🏻
Literally have their voices schizophrenic talking to me throughout the day with my eating, programming, working out 😂 Bicep Pull Ups and Tricep Dips are literally part of my personality now
Teacher here. Just wrapped up the semester. Recovering from torn meniscus and want to focus on losing the weight I gained this year and getting in shape again this summer. Enjoy your podcasts for the great information! It will be helpful in achieving my health goals this summer.
Love the Lad Wisdom! I’m a 55 yo woman. The first time I watched your show I totally judged you based on appearances. I was like oh let’s see what these lunkheads have to say about GLP-1s. Could not have been more wrong! I’ve seen what amazing role models you are to young men, and totally love your brand of masculinity. Now a subscriber and an appreciator!
I have started my weightloss journey September 2022 for the last time. I threw people out of my life that made me unhealthy and sad and complelty changed my behaviours around food. And I discovered you guys while doing that. I finally could identify what issues and problems I have, stopped lying to myself and confronted myself. I have grown so much as a person since then, lost 40kg, gained a lot of muscle and become healthier and happier even though I have two autoimmune issues that are hormonal. Thank you for being there and putting out constant content. You guys are a treasure.❤
So much free information from the podcast, I've totally reshaped my workouts and got great results. Bought my first MAPS program yesterday just out of gratitude
I was at the gym yesterday and a girl said to me “nice arms” and I told her about learning to train from the Mind Pump boys and she said “OMG! I love those guys!” 😂 we had a great conversation and became instant friends.
I started my fitness lifestyle about 7 years ago. I have been listening to the show for at least 5 of those years. The knowledge I've gained from you guys has helped me shift my mindset and focus more on lifting than doing hours of cardio. Over the years, I have lost and kept off 200+ pounds. Thanks for providing sensible fitness advice!
'Merica! "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." - Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto. He knew about our gun culture over 80 years ago.
Your advice for your last caller worked for me. After years of chronic dieting and cardio and circuits my metabolism was set so low. I put my faith into your approach, and it worked! After just 3 months of proper anabolic style training and reverse dieting fat began to melt off my body effortlessly. I’m now able to maintain my physique without dieting/ overtraining. I’m so grateful for your advice 🙏🏻
Listener Q # 4 was excellent 👏 Everyone should hear that and understand how the fundamentals of hitting protein first (from whole food sources) paired with strength training across the week, will yield significant results in body composition and performance. I love to see how she feels and looks in 3 months.
Look forward to your podcast every single day! You guys have helped me so much starting out with lifting as a mom of 3 in the last 2 months. I finally am starting to understand how to let me body thrive, after moving away from a Plant based diet for over 13 years and pushing my body with cardio style training. I can feel and see so many changes. I am no longer stressed every day, my adult acne is completely GONE, rosacea is going away and i love the way my body is physically changing. THANK YOU!
I walk almost every day in our neighborhood. Great way to meet neighbors and make friends. I love the social interaction and don't mind stopping my walk to converse with good people.
I couldn't wait to finish my workout to write my comment. The mindpump newsletter is so well written. I look forward to it, and enjoy it so much with my morning cup of coffee whenever it comes out. I always think I must compliment whoever writes it, but didn't know where to put that up. At least once during the read I laugh out loud, and it leaves me with a smile on my face. Very smart and well written, and kudos to who writes it.
Found the show a few months ago and love it, great both in terms of knowledge and the way things are communicated by all 3 of the boys. Especially love episodes with guests where they branch out to subjects in close relation with fitness and well being. 10/10 show
Ive been strength training consistency since November and its crazy how much my body has changed. My skin looks amazing and even if i dont lose body fat for a while i still see my body sculpt out in different areas. I had never added working out when i tried to lose weight and its so much more satisfying and i feel so much better! You guys are a big reason for me to get started. Thank you!
Almost out of the 300 lbs range as a 26 year old male(heaviest at 325). Increasing protein and eating it first has helped tremendously as i don’t normally consciously eat in certain ways. You channel has helped me with getting started in this process, thanks a bunch!
I am excited to apply what I have learned from you guys the past few months to my daily routine and see the results. Unfortunately, Maps will have to wait until I have the funds to buy it but I have a good idea on what I need to do for resistance training. I have been going back to some of your old videos and its funny to see what you guys looked like as little as 3 years ago. Its funny you guys said on a show that you repeat the same information in different ways and going back to some of those older videos helped me understand things mentioned on the newer shows. You all definitely look like you are in the prime of your lives now compared to when you started the mind pump show and the show has definitely became less chaotic since then. I am happy to finally be a part of the forum on Facebook as well! So much amazing information on there for those who are not part yet. First thing I do now when I clock in every day is look to see if there is a new video and if there isn't, I go back on the older ones Keep up the amazing work! I will be continuing to adhere to your advice and when I have my awesome before and after photo, I will be letting people know exactly who the kudos goes to.
Your responses to Holly really put it all together for me. I feel like I have a plan now. My weight has been stable for a while so I have a pretty good idea of my maintenence calories. Giving up the scale is scary though. If I don't weigh I usually gain. Measuring circumference is probably better, haven't tried that. Your Q&As are always illuminating but this one really hit. Thanks!
I felt like I also had a meniscus tear and it turned out I had an ankle mobility problem. I found a mind pump video on combat stretches and knee pain and I eliminated my problem!!
Enjoy listening to the positive practical advice that will ultimately help me take care of myself. I'd always save the best for last like eat the meat at the end of my meal. I am going to definitely change this.
Hey guys! I work in landscaping averaging at least 10-15 thousand steps a day minimum and wanted to learn how many calories I need to eat, I’m currently eating 2800 hundred calories and also doing MAPS Performance as well.Thank you so much! I love the show , it changed my life for the better good
Had a conversation with a girl at the gym that is looking to lose body fat I told her “check out MindPumps #MuscleMommy episode first and go from there. Guy at the grocery store asked me where he could get started, told him listen to MindPump and start there 💪
Love the Mindpump podcast! I have a question about creatine. I've used it a couple of times and every time, it makes me pee in the middle of the night. Normally I don't and I find it very annoying to have it interrupt my sleep. Should I keep on trying to take it? Or is sleep more important?
Man food prices in Sweden is crazy, 6 rolls of the cheapest toilet paper was 3 dollars 2 years ago, no its 5,6 dollars (same brand, same toilet paper) Butter went from 2.7 dollars to 6 dollars in 2 years!
Great info today. From protein, inflation, to relationships. Not sure if this is a guy thing but man when I get home from work, my preference is to be away from people and I have to work at being neighborly. That said, it IS so rewarding.
They say if you have carbohydrates in your first meal you will crave sugar all day but if you start your day with protein and fat, and you cycle in carbohydrates around higher than 10 days and save that for the end of the day, you will be in far better shape. Plus you will develop a better relationship with food when you rely Less on carbohydrates
best communication advice i got is to "shut up and listen". turns out, it leaves the IMPRESSION of being a good communicator. people are just innately narcissistic.
It is crazy to think that 200 grams of protein can be such a challenge to consume as it is only 800 calories. As a 175# guy, I consume 185 grams daily but my calorie count is roughly 2800 to 3000 daily - and I am hungry!
You said, calculate your daily needs, but eat the protein first. I like that but I feel worried that if I cannot consume all my 'calculated' food I might be eating under my daily count...especially if I am trying to build, would leaving food on the plate because I am genuinely full affect my gains? I am new to all this but I want to follow the advice of you experts who look and speak like you know what you are talking about..thank you for these free vids, you are helping soooo many people in the right thinking about health and fitness...much love from trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
@@zeroman155 let's try again. How many gramms of creatine and once you're taking it, are you consistent every day? How intense are your trainings, meaning how much volume per muscle group and do you go close to technical failure?
Has anyone on your team tried the Glucose Goddess method for ordered eating? This means having fiber (greens, etc) even before the protein. The fiber and water in the digestive track form a mucus that coats the lining. This slows the absorption of glucose that comes from starch and sugar in food, which reduces blood sugar spikes, and can reduce oxidative stress. Thanks for the great content, as always!❤
AirPods or head phones are the greatest inventions for the gym if you want to remain focused on your routine and reduce interruptions from “friendly” people.
Agreed there’s plenty of data around WEIGHT loss when refined carb/fat/salt Combinations are torched from the diet. Great data on recomping with prioritising protein esp for postmenopausal women. Do you know about the effect of genetic data regards how many copies of the AmY1 gene you possess is a better determinant of the type of diet that best serves you? Cheers
I find myself eating mainly meat like ground beef, ground venison, and ground bison as a protein source. Is this bad? Should I incorporate more fish and chicken in my diet? Also, you guys are trying to eat 140 g of protein. Every day is quite hard, love your content you guys are amazing❤
Not necessarily. Farmed fish is in general not good quality due to what they're fed, use of antibiotics etc. Chicken is monogastric, so again, what they eat and how they're raised matters. So no. Ground beef is a great option, just make sure you're using the highest portion fat available, at least 80-20%, but 70-30%is even better. The other 2 are good choices too but far too lean, so then you need to make sure to add enough essential fat (butter if you tolerate dairy, otherwise tallow, bacon, etc). If you want to experiment with different meat types, try several cuts of lamb, not all has that grassy taste. Fatty cuts of beef like ribeye or chucksteak as a cheaper option are excellent.
06:09 NO CALORIES, still. And no, you don't necessarily undereat the amount of food on carnivore. Many people do in the beginning, most of them because they want to lose bodyfat. But long term carnivores and carnivore athletes don't undereat.
I am 5 foot 3 and 125 pounds and I eat at minimum 165 grams of protein each day and could easily eat more. There must be something wrong with me because this much protein is easy for me. I have been carnivore for 3.5 years now.
03:52 you were weak, 'cos it takes time to get fat adapted. It has nothing to do with calories, still. After the dip in the beginning, strength comes back soaring and then some, if you transition correctly AND stick it out (depending on what kind of diet you're coming from, this can be very individual and can take anything between 6 weeks & 6 months). Another usual mistake is eating too lean meat. You need more fat than you think, especially in the beginning. Also people expect that if they find a proportion, that will work forever. It won't. Physiological requirements change due to so many factors, I guarantee you'll need to tweak protein to fat ratio at several points, depenging what's happening in your life & training. Good thing is, void of all the non-food items, you get a much better sense of what your body actually needs on the carnivore lifestyle.
14:58 don't forget taxes and shelter. They do not calculate Utilities or even certain properties, yet food and everything you buy is definitely calculated into the inflation number. How about your electric bill going up because of all of the imported gasoline and coal..?
debt and a house mortgage is not ownership until you have paid it off! if your house has gone up in value but the bank still owns it then you havnt made money the bank that bought the house For You has made money instead until you have paid off your Debt Mortgage.
Can i drink my eggs in a smoothie? Not like a protein powder shake but like raw eggs, egg whites, peanut butter and bananas? Also are rotisserie chickens good to eat? I must know 😫
Yes you can, but ditch the peanut butter, it's one of the most inflammation causing "food" on the planet. Your chicken is not the best, but it's still better than any non-meat option.
Do you guys ever read your comments? I’ve emailed you guys about a program and haven’t gotten any response. I need help, the 30 days are going to over soon.
