Some other bigger youtubers were less thorough than you and they probably didn't have to pay for the food and got special access, thank you for making the ULTIMATE sacrifice for us common folk.
I'm happy to do it. This is one of the most fun hobbies I've ever had. I enjoy making videos and interacting with fellow foodies in the comments. Thanks for watching!
43 minutes of Shin in one vid? What a treat. Happy to say you've become one of the subscriptions that I look forward to every week. Another fantastic review.
@@VegaswithShin I do WISH you did a PRICE REVIEW for each of the items ... a simple 💲 added to the video would be helpful. My bet ... that was a small FORTUNE you PAID and it is APPRECIATED 😊
Shin, one of my favorite things to do is cook dinner after a mentally tiring day at work, then eating my food while watching your videos. LOVE seeing a local's casino deliver with local Vegas brands inside.
WOW THIS FOOD HAUL HAS SOME DELICIOUS LOOKING FOOD. I AM DEFINITELY CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT THE NEXT TIME I AM IN VEGAS. THANKS FOR SHARING ANOTHER EXCITING TO WATCH VIDEO. KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK 👍🏼😁😋😋😋😋
Happy to have you live vicariously through the videos! I hope you have a safe and productive move! Be sure to find time to visit in Vegas sometime lol. Thanks for watching!
Hey Shin! Love the design of the Durango and the food hall. I appreciate all the effort you put in to make this for us! I can't believe that bread wasn't toasted, so weird. Looks like they have a great variety for everyone! Until next time! 🤗😎😀
Yes! I'm very happy with this food hall. A lot of really great options that covers a variety of eaters. I was very surprised at the bread not being toasted also. They must have just forgotten. Thanks for watching!
Lol, the tables were absolutely merciless that night. But it was a good thing. I got to go home and rest for a bit before coming back for that 3 hour line for oyster bar. Thanks for watching!
Geeze. How many times did you go back and forth yo this casino to make this video? Much appreciated! I think you were a little harsh on the food reviews. I’ve tried a lot of the same food there and found it exceptional and the best by far served in any Casino and restaurants. I may have missed it did you review the cookie bar? Has amazing cookies and combos you can’t find anywhere else. Did you also mention that the prices are awesome! Cheaper than you can find most places. That beef lovers pizza was only $6,00 and spectacular. It wasn’t doughy when I tried it and it is thick crust. Also, it’s def up you can see them make the pizza. Hamburgers, noodle house has a big window they can be seen making g the dough, flipping it in the air and boiling it and more!!
I drove many times lmao. But I do live in the southern part of the valley near the Silverton so it wasn't too bad. You're the first person in 2 years to say I was too harsh! Everyone usually says I'm not critical enough. Thank you, I feel vindicated somehow lol. I must have completely missed this cookie bar. Where was it? I thought I did a pretty thorough sweep of the food hall. Thanks for watching!
Another flawless Shin video! I’m excited to try the new food hall on my next visit. I never would have ordered a unagi bowl or the pan roast, but seeing them in the video make me want to give them a try, along with other items like the burger and the pizza.
Yes! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The unagi bowl was very good! The pan roast was decent but I hope they perfect the recipe in the coming months. Thanks for watching!
Being a Vegas local is awesome! I checked out Durango yesterday and was truly impressed. Didn't try any food cause the lines were crazy but I'm sure they'll settle down over time. Thanks for sharing so many food items!
Glad you enjoyed! I'm really happy with the Durango food hall. It's the best in Vegas hands down and agreed they have such a great selection. Thanks for watching!
Food Hall looked amazing! First thought though was ... no crunch? when you bit into the avocado toast. Still looked really good. Love avocado on anything! The pasta at the end was 🤤🤤🤤
I know! I was so surprised when I bit into it. I still believe that must have been a mistake. It's hard to believe that's the actual recipe. Thanks for watching!
That pizza place is outrageously expensive but they do offer the Italian rainbow cake.. which I assume are the beloved cookies of Italians in cake form. A rarity at most Italian restaurants even more than baked clams..
wow long video for watching but good to see. 4th video i watched on new food court. you are the first to eat. that thin crust puzza looked very inviting.
HI SHIN; I'M VERY HAPPY YOU WENT TO DURANGO AND GAVE IT A THOROUGH REVIEW. I LIKE THE WAY YOU GIVE A VERY DETAILED COMMENT ON YOUR EVERY BITE. AND YOU HAVE A GOOD PERSONALITY.. YOU NEVER SAY A DISH IS NOT GOOD. YOU ALWAYS GIVE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT AND SAY ITS NOT MY FAVORITE.. NOW FROM YOUR REVIEW. I KNOW WHERE NOT TO GO. YOU SAVED ME THE HASSLE. AND MONEY...THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT REVIEW.
I've said on occasion that a dish is bad but it seldom happens because Vegas food is rarely outright terrible. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Great review, Shin 👍...too bad it started off on a bad note...was waiting on the crunch of that first bite of the avocado toast 😤...the rest of the review, I did enjoy it 😊...have a great weekend and a fab week 😊...til next week 😘🤗❤
Yeah, the Avocado toast was a little disappointing. I hope that was just me and the recipe calls for toasted bread. Glad you enjoyed the video Jade! Thanks for watching!
Nice video Shin! I met you there while I was playing the slots. We tried the Hawaiian spot and thought it was pretty good but a bit pricey. Concert level music is a definite turn off while trying to eat. Ugh. A very nice local property overall. 👌
I miss when food was cheap and drinks were free (as long as you were in the casino.) I dont gamble, but when I went to Vegas in like 2008, all we had to do was tip the girls for drinks when walking through the casinos. They walked around and offered them. Edit: We didnt *have* to tip the girls, but Vegas runs on tips. Also, tipping is polite, no matter what or where you are in the States
This is at the new Durango Hotel/Casino. It may not be Blueberry Hill, but, hope everything is good. Have you been to the new food court at the Rio Hotel/Casino? Yes, I see your video from the new food hall at the Rio. Will see that one next. Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat. You should check out the underside first. Not a meat lover on a pizza.
Hey Shin you're a real Dai Lo. What do you do for work Shin? You must do really well for yourself, that at every restaurant for you is a buffet if you're willing to pay
What's a Dai Lo? I'm a project manager for an art studio. The RU-vid revenue covers the majority of the videos now. I only put in a few hundred a month into the channel nowadays. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, I didn't know if it made as much sense for this food hall video because I was only getting a few items from each location. I'll give it some thought when I go to shoot the Fontainebleau today. Thanks for watching!
I always get Pan Roast at the Station Casinos Oyster Bars. I love it and you can’t get it where I live. That one looked much less creamy than the others I’ve had. Disappointing. All in all, the food hall looks great though. The Hawaiian food looked delicious.
Palace Station is still the original and still makes it the best. The one at Durango wasn't bad, but it just wasn't as amazing. Only their 2nd night though. I hope in time it's as amazing as the others. Thanks for watching Dawn!
I thought the same thing! They must have forgotten. I refuse to believe that's their actual recipe. I'll have to go back for science sometime. Thanks for watching!
They didn't put a buffet in there all Stations properties closed down their buffets they used COVID as an excuse to get rid of them Boyd properties did the same thing as most of the joints out here did the properties that do have buffets most of overpriced SouthPoint the only spot where the prices are reasonable the garden buffet there is the best the only one I go to
Shin, you betray your lack of knowledge by saying the square pizza "is too bready." Sicilian style pizza is supposed to be both bready and puffy with a crispy lower crust. Your take on the Scilian slice would be akin to saying I would like ice cream better if it were less creamy. There are gaps in your culinary knowledge and you need to do your homework as you come across as uninformed.
You misheard me. I said doughy, not bready, meaning it was under, which I exclaimed in surprise because the bottom was properly crisp. I enjoy the Scilian slice from Pizza Rock so I am at least aware of what a Sicilian is supposed to be. That said, I'm not a trained chef. I'm just a dude who likes to eat with a RU-vid channel, and I imagine many viewers are more knowledgeable about food than I. Thanks for watching.
How can any foodie say pizza is good esp. the ones you eat in Italy. If I ever have to have a slice…I scrape the top part to eat and leave the starchy crust on the plate😮 Maybe one can feed pizza to young kids since they haven’t developed their palate yet.
Other RU-vidrs would have got an item from 3 places and called it a day. Not Shin! You really went the extra mile on this, I appreciate the effort. Really made a good video
HEYHEYHEY PANJO. Food at Durango is bomb. It’s crowded though with lines. Went yesterday and the day before and probably again today. Lol. But today again cuz they are giving out vacuums for “gift day”.
Avocado toast looks very lacking.. I usually will wait a month before going to a new restaurant. By then they should work out timing and cooking issues. The meat lovers pizza looked over cooked.
I was very saddened by the Avocado toast not being toasted. It was quite the travesty. I hope they do work out all the kinks in the next month like you say. Thanks for watching!
I would care to see a six month review of this after the hype settles down and the eateries settle into pure routine. I'm not saying eat every item again. Just one or two. Really it would be a video to see how the food hall in general was refined by customer demand in the long run. What was gained and what was lost. Who knows maybe they will fix your soggy hamburger bun problem in that time. Thanks for the video! :)
I'll keep that in mind. I've thought about revisiting newly opened places to see how they're doing since opening but I have such a long schedule to hit I'll have to see where bumping the schedule could make sense. Would love a non soggy bottom bun though lol. We'll see in due time. Thanks for watching!
It looks like a great place with an excellent variety of cuisines. I am a little surprised that the Hawaiian restaurant has a menu item that has the F-word in its description. It is posted on the menu that have outside and also on the digital menu as well. I would not expect that from an upscale resort, where all ages can come to eat. What do you think?
I was genuinely surprised when I saw that as well. But I guess it's Vegas, though this food hall is supposed to be family friendly. I guess kids nowadays are more aware than before with the unlimited knowledge of humanity at their fingertips from an early age though. I saw plenty of families go into Ai Pono and no one seemed to bat an eye. Thanks for watching!
Wow - that is the first time I have seen menu prices that did not try to rip you off. I get the Oyster Bar is high - its Las Vegas they have to fly that stuff in but the portions looked BIG so that is acceptable. Hats off to Durango Casino. Hopefully Durango keeps to its roots as a local casino with LOCAL prices. Yes tourists will come but that is an added bonus. Please do not do what other Local Casinos do. They start with reasonable prices on food with good quality then go rip off mode with horrible quality - STATION CASINO in Las Vegas I am looking at you!!!
Thank you for the informative video review. You described the meals well. It’s a food court, which we all should realize. I did not get any vibe from the food choices. Good job.
Great and wonderful videos. One thing I noticed and maybe it's on prpose. Some of your shots have clarity and some shots appear from a lens that needs to be cleaned. Maybe this is an "artistic" cut??? Not sure, just that I noticed it on some shots. Otherwise very nice work.
That food looks amazing. I’m staying here when I go to Vegas at the end of January. I wanna try all these spots. Since your a table game player what are the minimum bets over there for Craps, blackjack, and roulette?
The machine craps table with the single croupier was $5 min bet and the fully staffed table was $25 minimum for the night I played. Blackjack minimum was $15 though it was 6/5. I don't play roulette so I didn't catch the minimum bet there. I hope you have a great trip in January! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin Shin, the fact that you GAMBLE makes me appreciate your REVIEWS even more ... you have some SKIN IN THE GAME as Las Vegas is known for! With that ... I hope you do well when it comes to COMPS and COUPONS!!
@@VegaswithShin BUFFET ... you can always "get your fill" and even if there are "misses" (as your visit to the food court) there are many more CHOICES to like. FORBID ... going to a food court only to be DISAPPOINTED with the $$$ choice 😔
Yeah, that was really rough lol. Only 18 seats and around 1am they cut down to a single cook with only half of the kettles going so it really took a long time. But if I'm going to do a food hall video, I will hit every spot and the show must go on you know? Thanks for watching!
Thanks Shim for the great review. The mint Drink says spirit free in the sign description lol. No Alcohol. I almost ordered one of the spirit free drinks but caught it.
Hmm raw toast 🥑🍞 must be a new thing lol. 🍕 pizzas all look good. 🥖 a lot of bread from that sandwich but looks like a philly cheese. 🍦Dairy queen vibes like the blizzards. 🍜hand pulled is the go go 4 noodles. 🥟 should be pan fried if allowed 🌙2am oysters and chowdah🥣 Levell #6🌶 maybe its meant to only eat whats in the soup. 🍟🍔🌭 yummy yum 🍭🍤 looks tasty and mahi🐟 😋 Looks like bulgogi 🥩 Another great clip and varieties are all balanced nicely.
Best thing about "Fruity Pebbles" topping is that they use actual organic pure candied artificial fruit flavors grown in some of the most flavorable labs.
Thanks for the thorough reviews! I'm planning a (food) trip to Vegas this spring and your videos are very helpful! I'm adding Shang & Ai Pono Café to the list! Happy eating! ⭐⭐⭐
I worked 15 yrs one of Alaska's Largest Seafood producers (some yrs we were the largest) as a Millwright, meaning I was allowed to push buttons in between plumbing repairs and custom fabrication projects. The Cannery alone produced over 350,000 Cases of Salmon ea season (48 cans per case @ 1 lb ea), w/ the season lasting around 45 days. However the Fresh/Frozen side of the operation was even larger. The Freezers were 5 stories high w/ Forklift Elevators between floors, w/ Blast Freezers and a Shave Ice House on the lower floor sharing space w/ the "production rooms". The Cold Storage side could handle a Million Lbs of Fish per day no problem. There were also 3 Sujiko Rooms (Japanese Salmon Caviar) and a "Crab Alley" where tons of Shellfish were Fresh Frozen. About 90% of the Fresh Fish was shipped to either Vegas or Seattle w/ Vegas receiving the lions share. This was Fresh Salmon & Crab flown out the day it was caught. Most of the Fresh Frozen went to chain & independent Restaurants, usually in the Pacific NW. About 90% of the Canned Salmon went to U.S. Government food welfare for the poor w/ most of the remaining going to Europe. Bottom Fish was sold to other processors & Restaurants for more processing or meals..
After seeing the prices of the food court trend, the prices for the few buffets remaining on the strip don't seem that expensive. There's more value with buffets. RIP Aria buffet.
That is some truth right there. You can easily spend $30+ per person at a food hall depending on what you're looking at and at that point, you've gotten into the more budget buffets on the strip. You can get the excellent brunch buffet at the Palms for $33 currently and that includes all you can drink mimosas and fairly consistently good brisket. It's a toss up for sure but the advantage I keep hearing is that when you have younger eaters and smaller eaters in the group, they get to get something small for much less money and food that they want and it's hard to argue that one. They all have their pros and cons! Thanks for watching!
Oh man, I am so, so, so appreciative of a quick review of this place. I have been tempted to try it out but life keeps getting in the way. The hawaiian food is surprising me with how well you're rating it. Also O Toro and Parfait at the japanese place! I know my first target!
The mahi mahi was so incredibly delicious I'm still thinking about it. The poke and mac salad were really great also. Yu-or-Mi Sushi was also great! I think you'll have a great meal there! Thanks for watching!
Really appreciate the whole food hall review. The food in general looks really tasty. It looks like a great place for locals. As an annual visitor for about 4-5 nights, I don’t think I’d have time to check it out, so thank you .
@@elliejones7642 As a local, I'm really glad to see more food halls and construction off Strip. Lately the Strip has been unbearable (F1 traffic has not helped), so having options outside sounds like a great thing for locals and off-Strip tourists!
While I agree to an extent, there's some amount of localization that likely occurs for all dishes. Authenticity is always appreciated, but a twist here and there to make it more palatable for the masses is something I understand. Thanks for watching!
I had a pretty bad case of covid unfortunately that took me out for a few weeks. I'm back though! I just put out a video from the MGM Grand yesterday. Thanks for checking in!
As more and more strip trained chefs are venturing out and making their claim on the Vegas food scene, the local off strip dining caliber has risen a lot! It's definitely worth venturing off strip for food! Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin LET'S FACE IT ... the Strip is not always the place to be. From INFLATED PRICES on ROOMS and FOOD to WORSE ODDS for GAMBLERS ... we simply need other CASINOS to choose from ❤
I would have the beef noodles with the pepsi. That is my favourite, I think I would make it similar myself. Also it looks super tasty and what an enjoyable atmosphere.
Hi Shin! I absolutely love your videos! You have such an understanding of food! It’s just amazing to watch. Thanks so much! Can’t wait till next Saturday. You are my absolute favorite!
