Thank you thank you thank you for posting this. I’m born and raised in north Philly but live in Orlando now for 10 years. I had no idea this was here 10mins from my job. I went there today and was blown away by the chopped cheese and pastelillos 🔥🔥!! Good lookin out!!
I hope you and your family is safe and doing well but I wish less and less northerners moved to Florida...we don't move to Philly or NY ..yall stay there lol prices is going crazy cause of new Yorkers Chicago peeps Philly and Cali
Bro, every ghetto in the South has been making chopped cheese sandwiches since forever. We just do not call it chopped cheese. First of all, it’s a quick way to make a hamburger and second of yall, if the meat is cooked grounded instead of making hamburger patties, more people can get a sandwich. We also do not use hoagie buns. We just use regular white bread. In some places, they make ground pork sandwiches…
I have lived in NYC for a while, but I'm gonna stick to my ancient staples for lack of a better term: BLT, bacon, egg and cheese, and the famous bagel and lox. But the "NYC chopped cheese sounds like a must try whenever I go back to my hometown. It looks delicious!
The sandwich looked delicious with the ingredients, that would give you that amazing delicious taste you’re looking for.finding a great places with a tasty home.the flavor was there and afresh. For a Sandwiches .
Great video thanks for covering Orlando, that Hungry Polar Bear should have told you about “Chicos Subs” 5 N Lorna Doone Blvd. Orlando, doing subs since 1971,
I was just there yesterday, and because of JL Jupiter's review, I stopped by. Grabbed the NYC chopped cheese and a steak and cheese...BABY!!! BOTH were AMAZING!!! I definitely will be back in.. I gotta new spot now ❤❤❤
✨️I've been watching your great food videos for awhile I don't know why I've haven't subscribed but now I am. Great videos beautiful family keep it going! 💯
Respect to them, but you have to go to Chicos. Try to cheese steak basically a hamburger sub been there since the 70s best in town they right behind that place little small place on the corner
Shout out to that spot and every spot making money on chopped cheeses but I really don't get how or why they're special other than being a New York bodega novelty lol. They're basic ass hamburgers on a roll and chopped, the end, and at least a Philly cheesesteak is different in its own way. I guess I don't get it but I honestly don't think there is much to get. No negativity, just my opinion, and I love that you're keeping it pushing, JL, highlighting small businesses and doing a lot of people a tremendous service in boosting their spots.
That spot right on south street 😂 across the street from where my famz stay . JL be everywhere lol new spot , looks good tho . Gotta try when I go back
eeeeeh my stomping grooooound. Yeah i pulled up to this place a few months ago after i googled "chop cheese near me" and moved swiftly to get it. Totally worth it, havent finished watching this video yet so i dont know your opinion but i loved it.
Thanks but not sure if I would prefer this over a cheesesteak sub. Philly people say there is nothing in the O like a Philly cheesesteak. That may be true but I looooove a Publix cheesesteak cooked with jalapeno, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, salt pepper and Publix deli dressing. Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato oregano and a little oil and vinegar. Yum.
#mattdv Peace Big Bro are you going to hit the Southern Coast? We are in Miami. Collab please! 🙂 and yes, turkey Bacon just won'tt get that pork bacon bite.
Us New Yorkers don’t overrate our sandwich, it’s everyone else. We love our chopped cheese I don’t understand why ppl act like we over here saying it’s the most magical thing ever. It’s our baby but it’s simple. Chopped up cheese burger mayo ketchup toasted bread lettuce tomatoes. No onions or anything else or it’s not an official chopped
If it wasn’t a hamburger chopped up, it’s not a chop and cheese. I would love to see how they made it. I’m sure it’s good but I will never be a New York chop and cheese because of the bread. Same reason why we can’t get a good bagel here in Florida.
Born and raised in Queens. Nobody can claim food and it’s stupid to do so. I love that social media brings attention to food others would’ve never known. It’s great anyone on social media can research and appreciate delicious food from all around the world.
If a certain food originates in ONE place and thrives in ONE place, that food is essentially a product of that ONE place, despite being copied in other areas. Chopped cheese originated in uptown Manhattan. Is it served other places in New York City and elsewhere? Yes, but it's a product of East Harlem.
