Made with three milks. you cook the cake poke holes on top and add your 3 milk mixture (condensed,evaporated and whole milk) it soaks in and refrigerate till ready to eat. That’s how i make “MINE” at least...it may be different for others.... love that you enjoyed it all so much

Hi Quang. I was watching your video where you were eating Mexican food and I just wanted to let you know the tres leches cakes which in English it is called 3 milk cakes. It's a yellow or white baked cake and as soon as it cools the cake is poked with a fork or anything to make holes through out the cake and then there is a mixture of evaporated milk, condensed milk and regular milk, and a little vanilla mixed together and then poured into the holes that was poked into the cake. {I add a tablespoon of Breyers vanilla ice cream to give it a little more flavor. The cake is refrigerated until chilled and then topped with Whipped cream made of heavy whipping cream, and vanilla, and powered sugar mixed together. Food color can be added to the whipped cream in any color of choice. I make two layer cakes some times and I add either pineapple, or strawberries or different fruits to the middle and then add whip cream. So yummy. I hope this helps you know what was in the cake. You should make one.

I like to buy CORN tortillas at the grocery market and deep fry them myself at home after quartering them into those triangles. They're not HOMEMADE homemade, but it's what I do. :P A little salt and lime goes a long way on those things. P.S, my Venezuelan father-in-law likes to roast jalapenos like that and use it as a condiment for his grilled steaks. It's so good.
