Hi Brennen. My name is Gabby Jr. Wild Elk Den is my mother's restaurant. Sadly, Gabby the chef passed away from Covid-19 on July 13. I just wanted to say thank you for reviewing her restaurant on this channel. She was so happy. It truly was a highlight in her chef career. After this video was posted, her restaurant exploded with new customers and well deserved recognition. The Elk herd grew. Again, thank you so much for supporting our mom and sharing her love of great food.

For all of you who don’t know.... what Brennen does is actually really hard. Being on camera in public takes a lot of courage, especially in restaurant judging people’s food.

Brennen I want to thank you so much for doing this review. My grandma (chef gabby) just recently passed away..I was so upset that I never got a chance to come visit her restaurant that she took SO much pride in. This was her dream that finally became a reality. Your video really made me feel like I was there and witnessed it all, and it’s given me so much comfort. Thank you for letting the world know that she has a 5 star restaurant ❤️

This is my favorite restaurant/ second home!!! I am there at least three times a week. I can assure the energy, the food, and Victor’s nonsense is consistently amazing. I consider Victor and Gabby to be family ❤️. Don’t think twice, just stop by... and ask about Sunday’s event while you’re there.

Used to live across the street when it first opened. Was a gem then so glad it got reviewed and gets the recognition it deserves Victor and his wife are great people and the food is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Once I go back to visit AZ it's my first stop!!

I’ve lived in Chandler for 17 years, I was born here and I have always driven by this place and never realized. I would go to the laundry mat and big 5 or atl wings right by it. Thank you Brennen for the review, I will be stopping by to try this place.

I am so glad this channel made a video on this restaurant. This is my favorite place in the valley I try to eat here as much as possible. Me and my girlfriend go here every week just about. It feels like visiting family every time, and it is the best food I have ever had. Victor and Gabby are a treat. A wonderful bar to get a drink on a weekend as well because it's so fun and laid-back. Lots of games around too if you wanna play. Fair warning: you do have to be patient. There is only one cook and Gabby is particular about quality. Treat it like you are visiting auntie and she's cooking the family favorites. They are unabashed about this. I love it because going to the Wild Elk Den is an all night activity I rarely leave before close. Have a drink, chat, enjoy yourself, laugh at Victor's antics, etc. If you expect to drop in and eat quick they will recommend some menu items,most items take a while but they are super worth it.

this has been my absolute fav episode and im a vegetarian, but the way u promote health, clean eating, and raisin animals humanly has been really really nice to watch.

Wanted you all to know that I received word today that Gabby (chef) at Wild Elk Den passed away today from her battle with Covid. We've lost a beautiful person and very talented Chef. Her husband Victor, is currently hospitalized battling Covid. Sad day folks.....

Man, they need better signage out front because both Victor and the Diva are awesome. Could you imagine how happy that man would be if he could tell those jokes all day long to his packed restaurant?

We have a place like that here in sacramento, ca. It's called Flamming grill. they even have a lion burger. they also regularly carry a yak burger. also boar, ostrich, kangaroo, antelope, elk, etc.

Hey Brennen another place in Phoenix Arizona to try is "Texaz Grill" they have really good steaks and large chicken fried steaks is what they are known for. You would really like the INSIDE of the place too....

Thank you SO much for sharing that experience. Something I've always wished to do in person but most likely will never happen. It's amazing to me that ceremonial songs and dances have many things in common from native American to Asian to Spanish and German. Moments like that really make me wonder why there's so much racism still out there when it's so apparent that we are all so much more closely related than people realize. Love this. We’ve heard so much about processed foods, our animals pumped full of hormones, among other things. Conspiracy theories about big pharma and as a whole, lots of people in the US are unhealthy and don’t eat to many natural foods anymore. This keeps us addicted to meds we don’t need when we should just eat healthier. Great review.
