I'm from the western parts of Germany. During the first 10 years of my childhood we spent at least 2 weeks a year in a camping van near the sea in South Holland. It gave me so many positive memories that now as I'm in my 40s I have spent many additional trips and vacations with friends, lovers and now: family in nearly all parts of the country. Besides hagelslaag I always loved Dutch sweet buns with or without raisins the most. I'll never forget the smell coming out of the Dutch bakeries in the morning!
I have family in the Netherlands and I remember visiting as a child and just eating the sprinkle bread every morning and thinking it was great! We also ate a lot of appelstroop as my family used to produce it!

The voice........ the eating with the most relaxing back of the mouth sound and hand movements all make this MAGIC. You can watch it or just listen and fall asleep!!! WONDERFUL!!!

I visited the Netherlands in 2019 and was so in love! I stayed in Edam, visited Amsterdam and Zandvoort. Honestly my favorite meal was the French fries with Mayo and curry sauce 😂 my friends and I loved how kind everyone was and felt like even in the city the whole country felt magical.
My opa is from the Netherlands - he was in the Dutch merchant marines during WW2 and met my grandmother while in port in San Francisco, CA. I visited with him for a month when I was 14 and saw ALL my family out there. He was from Maasland so we stayed there mostly but also visited Amsterdam and Texel island. I’d loved the chocolate sprinkles since I was a kid and all my friends thought it was so weird (until they tried!). One of my favorite things was tea time every day and the hot houses filled with flowers. My least favorite thing was the weather 😅
Oooh 😂 yes I remember those mints they used to be in a dish With a little spoon. To be honest they were always in Chinese restaurant when you pay your bill they would be sitting there. They were delicious
I remember your video from the Netherlands where to had these chocolate sprinkles on a walnut bread but you decided it would have been better on the casino white bread! Love that video and it’s nice to see you eating native food again!
I would love to visit the Netherlands some day! I wasn't able to watch the entire video as eating sounds trigger my misophonia, but I skipped around and watched what I could. Respectfully I am wondering, are you going to be doing mostly eating videos from here on out? I love that you have gained so many new followers! Hi there! It will be 50/50. Every other week I will post a sit down eating video and for the other week, I will do a regular non eating ASMR video. I am not sure if I will be able to keep up with filming a eating video every other week so this might change, but I won't be publishing more eating videos that regular ASMR videos :) Sending you much love back! ❤ Also, i will be experimenting with asmr shorts soon which will also mostly be regular ASMR snippets :)
I am not sure how popular ramen are in my home country nowadays, but what I do know is that a lot of people love cup a soup over there and a lot of work places have vending machines where you can get a cup a soup :)
I visited the Netherlands for my high school graduation, it was my first european trip! my favorite part was how cluttered, green and overgrown certain parts of amsterdam were, and i really loved eating panekoeken every morning, warm stroopwafels, and the asparagus cheese i got at zaanse schans. i definitely need to go back and try the bitterballen again though, because the first time i tried it i went into shock from the texture 😰
I was having a hard time reading your cup 😅😅😅 but I really like the color of the cup. Eating chocolate on bread sounds interesting I never tried it before i watched this video before a few times it I would of never thought of trying chocolate on bread sounds really good though
I forgot about the packet cup of soup. Exactly what i need for evening meal/snack. My main meal of the day is 1 pm. These will be perfect. Black licorice is great for the digestive system.
Hello Ilse, I visited the Netherlands a lot of times and I love beeing there. I always loved vla and other pudding stuff. Mona Puddings are so good. I miss also Pannekoeken and the people. Thank you for your Videos , I like you so much❤
The fruity one is called hundreds and thousands here in the UK and its used to sprinkle on biscuits and cakes and I love cup of soup in the autumn and winter I like cream of vegtable with the tiny croutons yum 😋
I remember that Dutch spreads video. Where I'm from in the US we call sprinkles (which your hale reminds me of) "jimmies". And we put them on cupcakes or ice-cream. :)

How is Dutch peppermint different from that of the US? Is it milder, stronger, can you describe how it is different. The “butter candy” is called butter waffles or Boterwafeltijes.
My favourite foods from my travels in the Netherlands are reypenaer cheese and the frites with sauce from the street vendors. 🤤 My least favourite were the herring and the mustard soup. 😂
I love the variations you have there. The sweet memories are the best aren't they?.. I'm sorry to hear that your dad passed at such a young age.. but your memories will always keep him close. 😘 On a lighter note, the tube of mints look like our version in the UK, of extra strong mints, a dry feel to them and very hard. However, there's nothing better than a cheesy cracker to go with a cup of soup. I have a little ritual each afternoon, a snack of six salt and pepper crackers, six small pieces of cheddar, and some tomato chutney, and it's delicious.. 🤣🤣🤣💜💐🇬🇧👌
Ik ben echt gek op hutspot. Maar dat kun je gelukkig makkelijk zelf maken. sauerkraut (zuurkool) is hier ook te koop in de supermarkt maar hema worst helaas niet XD
Is anyone having weird sound quality issues. It’s like the microphone is defected. It doesn’t sound as weird from your phone or headphones. But if you have your laptop or tv on it gives this weird echo…but not quite an echo.
We've been in Amsterdam,Leiden, Rotterdam and den Haag. It was ten years ago and we biked a lot . I unfortunatly dont remember what we ate! But it was good. I live in France and dutch food is not so different from french food.😂. I don't have any photo left because We were victim of robbery when we came back home and they stole our computer with all our photos in...😢
I know! I have been doing so many whisper videos lately though! :P I also have to do a soft spoken video once in a while for those that like that instead ^_^ I do also enjoy whisper videos more myself, next one will be soft spoken but more quiet than this and after that it will be whispered again :)
