KANGAROO IN PAPUA
Wasur National Park in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province, which is a Ramsar site, an area designated to protect the sustainability and function of wetlands in the world.
In it there are various types of flora and fauna. This AWA trip saw various kinds of forest ecosystems and met endemic Papuan animals such as Kangaroos or called Saham. There are also Deer and Bandekut or called Tuban.
AWA also visited the Rawa Biru (swamp) area in Sota District, which is the border area between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
