🌎 Foreigners: OMG you only have to pay 27 dollars for THAT? 😃 🇮🇩 Indonesians: OMG you have to pay 27 dollars just for THAT? 😱 I don’t know whether to be happy or sad that people from other countries think this is a steal while most of us can’t even afford it.
To be clearer, the US dollar is currently very strong and continues to weaken the Indonesian currency so that tourists who come will automatically become rich 😅
I heard Indonesia is going to join BRICS. This will allow you to trade in rupiah with them, so you won't be at the mercy of the US dollar. They are 35 trillion in debt. Crash incoming. Better to move away from US dollar 😅
You have to remember, that’s USD. If you paid in Rupiah, it’d be quite expensive. Basically think Japan’s case. Japan is so cheap now if you pay in USD. However, Japan is also very expensive if you live there and make yen, not US dollars.
I didn't expect it, I always watch this channel. now in my country, thank you for coming. Don't forget to stop by the roadside stall, I'm waiting for the video. and stay careful on the road
Locally sourced produce and staples: Fresh fruits, vegetables, and rice are often more affordable than imported goods. However, processed foods and imported items can be expensive. Street food and local restaurants: These offer budget-friendly options compared to Western-style restaurants.
Your partner is the cutest lady I've ever seen, and she's a big reason I come back to your channel. I love seeing and learning about snacks and cuisine from all over, but seeing her reaction to most things is just so cute! I want to hug her.
Seeing people in the US shocked from the price is always a treat haha. FYI, that amount is considered a big amount of money for the average single meal in Indonesia.
I cannot help but smile every time you have your partner join you! She is SO freaking cute and joyous when the food is good. I wish my husband would take me around the world to try food. Haha.
446k... wow. Just wow. Our spicy tolerance? Yes indeed since young here. Idk about Java and others, but in Sumatera, the food here mostly spicy. Spicy-sour exactly. Pukis? Just buy them at traditional market, db. More fresh than KFC one. Also hope you have fun in my country!
$27 for all that!! It cost me $18 for an 8 piece chicken strips and fries last week at KFC, and it sure as hell didn't come with a super cute BT21 toy that I now want 😭
Yup! I would be suprised too. but apparently as an indonesian (local) i can't say the same in this case as since very expensive for us local. literally.....sighs. i'm just hopeless rn
Thats why indonesia is a heaven for tourist. We experience the same feelings when we go on vacation to india or some countries with cheaper cost for meals ☺️
it’s cheap for people from the us and western europe but it’s middle class food for pretty much most asian countries. most people can’t afford to eat western food chain daily. only middle class did. my family is considered as middle class in indonesia, both my parent made around 50 million rupiah a month and when you convert that to us dollar it’s just around 3k bucks. you can imagine how average us citizens are basically fall into indonesian rich economy category.
the same with imported gadgets like apple and vehicles like mercedes, bmw, piaggio. most people here can just afford locally produced gadgets, cars, and scooters but the imported ones are even considered as luxurious item for middle class like my family. combined with jacked up housing price in most downtown of big cities it doesn’t helpful either. luckliy education and healthcare are free but its quality just mediocre, if you want better you need to pay more for private or even international school/hospital. life in asia is so hard because how much your currency is depleted to the usd combined with how much people you need to compete with for jobs. you guys in the us and western europe should be grateful for all the opportunity you have.
for any indonesian fellas wondering, my dad worked at a mineral mining company and my mom worked as civil servant. it feels like a higher medium economy when you compares to most fellas in suburban area but for downtown of big cities like surabaya and jakarta for example, it’s nothing. not even compares to a single taxi driver in the new york downtown.
I've been following you ever since, that video ZOM-B bugs. You are my absolute favorite food couple. I tell my wife every day that the two of us must one day travel the world and eat good food like you do.
Welcome to Indonesia, always enjoy your videos. Btw, how many people joining the feast? I kept looking for different clothes in the background. Or you yourself changing clothes now and then?
It is the little difference between countries with 7/11, McDonalds to KFC even with the same stores. Which I enjoy on my travels as well as local food.
I was trying to guess who it was by looking at their hands and fingernails. Still can't say there was more than the two of them, but it could have been as many as four people. Good job fooling us, Bacons!
@TheOtherBill there has to be other people. Their kids maybe? They had Shanda's mom and their kids on a video very early on. Family trip this time maybe.
I love your videos, while I can't eat most of it (gluten intolerant and possibly Celiac) you show and describe things amazingly. Sometimes you even give me an inspiration to recreate something GF so we can try it. I enjoy your videos even though they'd seem like torture to others like me.
Welcome To Indonesia 🤩🤗 Enjoy Your Food Street Journey Edited: You guys must trying Spicy Chicken at McD its Special here, & if You two like Noodles maybe can try Me Gacoan with Spicy Level it's Delicious & side dish it's very cheapest
yes! finally someone drank the buttercream float and thought it is same as butter beer! I ordered it many times since it was so good. you can get 2 for 1.20usd which is a deal. who knows that butter beer is just coke with vanilla ice cream, butter caramel syrup and cookie crumb?
All of the food looks so yummy !!! Especially the pudding ..oh wow it's really cheap at 27 dollars .something like that in the UK wouldn't guess at the price
That is mad that they serve spaghetti at KFC in Bali. Will definitely try this when in Bali in August. Thanx for sharing, new subscriber here from Australia 🇦🇺
Yay! BT21 bonus! As army so happy to see! :) Also jealous, we don't get much BTS stuff at the fast food chains here except for that one time we got a special sauce, but no toys.
@aguajelly omg exactly! I never buy fast food, but if BTS is part of it, I would totally get it. I bought McDonald's for first time in 10 yrs cause of the sauces. Bought it twice cause one location didn't have the bag with the bts logo on it.
