In this episode, we take you on the ultimate Vietnamese street food tour in Hanoi’s old quarter, where we try local delicacies (both delicious and adventurous). We decided to book a tour with a local guide to learn more about the food culture in Northern Vietnam. Reflecting back, we wish we had done this at the beginning of our trip so we understood the dishes sooner! We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Hanoi - it was extremely interesting and one of the best things we did in Vietnam!

Welcome Hanoi. Cheers early morning shot. Hard for me to get a grip on chopsticks so I gave up. Yum cinnamon pork. I laughed while you were trying to talk over all the car horns.Absolutely love coconut doughnuts (( loved both of your reactions after taking your 1st bite )) I would try the sand worm with egg. Delicious soup. How can you be full all ready?? (( stomach looks fine )) Yum Yum thin slices of beef. Thought she was full?? I could hear the crunch of the bread of the Banh Mi, she was in heaven. Actually it was too early to try snails, normally we would enjoy snails the the evening. However the snails dishes that you try will smells kinda fishy, you should be started with the dried snails or snails stir fried with noodles would be a better start, and in the South we make more style of cooking snails to make it tasty

U guys tried the fried worm but grossed out by the snails? 😂 I would say no to the fried worm but the snails is yummy. I have eaten escargot in Paris but I prefer Vietnamese style . Love to eat them in fish sauce .

Some people like to eat entire snail but some only like to eat the head. In my opinion, the tail doesn't taste good. Try with the head first and only eat the tail if you like it.

4:30 actually that fruit is delicious… ive seen so many vloggers enjoy it. A bit strange that you guys didnt like it. Maybe yours werent sweet or ripe. And the intestine .. i think it was because of the effect of the girl who ate that made it worse. It was just like the sausage texture😂

Haha maybe! We thought it tasted good but the texture wasn’t for us! For the intestine, we really didn’t enjoy it… although Vietnam has some incredible dishes, this was a bit too adventurous for us 😅 thank you for watching 🥰

I don’t understand the street food tour taking you to places where you’re eating things that are very questionable to a western pallet especially when there’s so much beautiful food over there. That’s insane.

We did try some delicious dishes as well as some adventurous food. I think the reason behind it was to show us exactly what Vietnamese people eat. Many of the markets and food stalls sell this food, so it must be common for Vietnamese to eat like this. Hope you enjoyed watching anyway 😊

snail is my most favorite dishes, in the South we have thousands of snails dishes with different ways of cooking, you would enjoy it more, and in the South we only enjoy it in the evening, not in the morning❤

If you have a hesitant attitude towards everything, then don't bother going on a food tour, just eat at McDonald's. No matter how delicious the food is, if you approach it with such an attitude beforehand, you will never find it tasty

I don’t think many people from western culture would enjoy eating intestines as it’s not part of our usual diet - the important thing is that we tried it and learned about the culture of Vietnam. Hope you enjoyed the video 😊 (by the way, we don’t eat McDonald’s) 😂

@@duosdream What about snails? Even if you haven't tried them, you find them very frightening. You put them in your mouth, but even before tasting, you chew very quickly. What I want to emphasize is that if you think it's not delicious from the start, you will definitely feel it isn't delicious

Wow. You seem super pretentious. At least they are trying it. They are getting out of their comfort zone and as they do so, they will broaden their tastes. Not everyone can fling pork intestines into their mouth all Willy nilly and love it. Lol But they can try things and get a deeper understanding of where they are visiting. Don’t act like if I took you to Japan you’d be juiced up to eat the raw fat from a horse mane. Everyone has things they’ve not tried and are a bit afraid of. That’s why sometimes eating food is “adventurous.” Sorry if people moving out their comfort zones offends you so much. You might want to skip over these types of videos least you learn that you’re not the smartest person in the world.
