I tried this once for a week. After the first day I found myself just eating less amounts of more things and in the long run, more calories than I was before. And that's the thing. The recommended serving size is the size you are supposed to eat when you are eating multiple things at a time. You are supposed to have small amounts of 4-6 different things per meal. If you only eat 1 or 2 things, you have multiple servings of each. So for breakfast you aren't supposed to eat ONLY a bowl of cereal. You are supposed to have cereal with eggs and a glass of milk, a glass of orange juice and a banana and some veggies. But we don't do that. We eat ONLY cereal, so we eat 5x as much in order to make up for the other things we aren't eating. Same with the chicken pasta at lunch. You are supposed to have your tiny scoop of chicken pasta along with a sandwich and an apple and maybe a small salad, along with some nuts and a handful of berries. But we don't do that. We eat a tub of chicken pasta and some chips instead of all that other stuff. And it is more of the same for dinner.
