Micah, I’m about your age and have been fishing around the Charleston area for 20 yrs. I only get to go 3-4 times a year if I’m lucky. I got extremely good at redfishing but am bored with it a little now. You have taught me everything I’ve learned the last two years now about other types of fishing. Thanks to you I’m gearing up for next year and will be shrimping, crabbing, trout and sheepshead fishing. You’re the man.

We actually went back to standard time. Daylight savings happens in the spring. Daylight savings ends in November and starts standard time again through the winter.

From what i understand the popping cork imitates feeding of fish. You can also use small soft bates like vudu srimp or anything with good action when you pop the cork they will imitate a real shrimp. or but fall/winter fish tend to like small baits. Popping corks are great for shallows and getting that feeding frenzy going.

Fish the surf farther south on the island, where the beach is steeper between the jetties. Have always had good luck down there.

Mostly Chesapeake Bay this summer and lately Ocean City Maryland for black seabass. Looking forward to Virginia Beach areas this weekend for reds and speckled trout. Those shrimp I like to fish like a Carolina rig like you say just bounce it off the bottom. I I’ve on the NC coast and love and use those artificial shrimp all the time. DOA or the other brands.

You need to come to northwestern Ohio and fish like the Maumee river or defiance reservoir or some of the lakes well ponds in Bryan or surrounding areas.

sea trout are grest deep fried.i would go to this little fish shack in rockville md.they had whiteing, sea trour ,& flounder with fries ut was 5.99.mid 90 s era
