A landlord kicked a tenant out for eating this, and the tenant took him to court. The landlord proved his case simply by opening a can in the courtroom.
I've read a news story of an airplane making an emergency landing after a passenger onboard opened a can. It seemed legit when I first read it but going back and searching I can't find it. I did find out that several airlines won't even it allow it onboard the plane in case the can should rupture and spray it's vile malodorous contents inside the plane.
@@allisonb1869 Actually he was evicted for opening a can in the hallway of the apartment complex. And yes he won the court case over it by opening a can in the courtroom.
+fuzzwarmy PewDiePie could do it too, to again become a true Swede, and the angels would sing and order would once again be restored in the universe. ;)
Funniest about being swedish watching youtube is knowing how bad surströmming smells and waiting for it to hit the fools who´s gonna open the can. *evil laugh*
+Miss Sweets Or if you're from another country, take Swedish lessons and know about that stuff. :D Fortunately, I never smelled/ate Surströmming, but one guy in my Swedish class get some and they want to eat it in summer.. I'm scared and way too curious at the same time. :D
Tenshi Zetsumei They're not funny plus they haven't eaten the surströmming. If they had, I would have had some respect at least! They didn't even try to eat the surströmming! Pffff!
Tenshi Zetsumei Beer is great. It's fermented, just like surströmming. Very refreshing! And in Bavaria, every town has their own beer. That's freaking awesome! Maybe you should try Weissbier first and get accustomed with the taste that way. Erdinger, Paulaner, Franziskaner or Hoegaarden.
Surströmming has been tested to be the worst-smelling food in the world. Also, protip for anyone who wants to eat this, but doesn't wanna evacuate half a city. Open it in a bucket of water. Like... open it underwater.
People should probably realize Felix isn't the same person as his "RU-vid Persona, Pewdiepie". I know plenty of youtubers who put on a "persona" for their channel. So if you don't respect his channel, at least respect him as a person and stop your immature and hateful comments about him, Thanks. :)
I honestly don't think there's much of a difference between the Felix and "Pewdiepie." I think he "wears his heart on his sleeve" in his videos. I'm positive he's more relaxed when he's not recording, but that's entirely expected. I've never questioned his reactions in the games he plays, I believe all of it to be genuine.
Dude Felix is soooooooooooo chill in this compared to his gaming videos. But the swearing levels are OP in this just like the usual videos pewds uploads. Stay awesome bro!
I like pewdie as a person and his early days before he had the persona. I love GMM and I thought this might be bad because of him but he was actually himself it was great
Cave Johnson yea I thought of this too , but look pewdie reaction after the yell ,he was bewildered , a litlle bit ashamed... I dunno a lot of people think that he get mad in that part too
ChanelDarkSide You have a good point, I could be wrong, you could be wrong, we could both be wrong, I guess we cant really know unless GMM commented and told us, I kinda doubt they will though, their pretty busy and I respect that
Maggie Priest Umm if it wouldn't be such a bother, can you watch your language, theres not really a need for profanity, especially when it doesn't even make sense
Its sad but true that a lot of bros have put out the image of all of pewds subscribers being 9 year olds but you guys are doing the same for the mythical beasts. Pleas don't ruin the image of Mythical beasts too.
There was nothing wrong with that surströmming, it's fermented and supposed to be like that. Felixis from the southern part of Sweden, and eating surströmming is common in the northern parts. I doubt he ever have eaten that.
chaplainous i think he have the reaction when link was going to open it was couse you should open it outsid couse if you open it inside it smells for like a week
LOL pewdiepie knew the whole time that the surstromming was going to smell because he laughed when they had it LOL and he was like "oh god no" when link got a can opener LOL
I completely agree. I ended up unsubbing him because I just started to gravitate to calmer types (GaLm, SSoH, etc) but I thought he was actually pretty funny in this video.
Yes but my whole recommendation feed is just Swedish videos since I’ve been learning the language and culture so I’m guessing that’s why this was recommended to me 🙈
Björn Dahlström Ok, as a Finn who once had that stuff and was traumatised for life, i have to ask, do you people REALLY eat that, or is this like a joke that Sweeds played on the whole world??? :DD
MrFinnboy69 well yeah, but the trend is usually most done by the older population of sweden... it´s not an "everyday food", but more for on special dates of the year/months :)
Donnell Blakey Because you see a different side of him that way. What we're used to see in his own videos is restricted only to what he's comfortable in showing us there. When Pewds is put in a different situation, you see how he reacts on the spot and the image of him gets more and more detailed, and you start to see him as more as just a celebrity.
Jessie Choi I mean people can be negative and rude. I'm not saying you are by any means. But people have bitchy attitudes. Then there are people who are the sweetest you'll ever meet. ✌
This has a wide audience and some are little kids that shouldn't hear swearing (they probably hear it elsewhere on RU-vid but that's besides the point). So they don't have to, but they do it anyway to make sure parents won't complain about their kid hearing a cuss word.
Therese Mentzer Yes, real creative of you to use the exact same type of joke earlier stated as a comeback for an argument! Also, putting emphasis on "Joke" clearly shows you not being able to recognize the ironic undertone. Forcing me to explain said irony that was intended by using an old joke. Also please stop putting questionmarks behind something that's clearly not a question.
@@SwedishWarGoat. nope, the small can clearly says Sürstromming on it and if you look up cans of it they look exactly the same it is herring not mackerel.
Oh man. Surstromming is no joke. I had post traumatic stress watching Link open that thing, thinking about the time we made the mistake of eating the dead man fish bomb.
Valosar Aria Not shark, it's just fermented fish (not sure what species). Most Swedes absolutely hate this stuff. I don't eat it, it's the smell that kills you, but I actually got close enough for a bite. put that stuff in a rolled sandwich, with mashed potatoes & some eggs & it is actually delicious. But like I said, never again, the smell kills you on the inside. Slowly...
+Poppin' Loch Ness Hopster that is exactly how surströmming works. its fermented fish, yes there are cans thats not popped depending on the brand. The one they have is suppose to be like that
ChaozDealer I do not believe bacterial contamination is an intended feature of a product. Can you provide a link to the manufacturer's website? I'd love to see their disclaimer about the food poisoning.
@@CedarCritter I wouldn't say that's really short, 5'11 is the average height for guys in Sweden, and the average height in America is 5'9-'10. Any guys over 5'8 is tall to me (that's probably because I'm just short as hell)
